It would be great if it was true I read somewhere that Intel was one of the investors of the Lucid company as always time will tell if it is true
ATi and nVidia struggled with their faulty CF and SLI for years, so this might be a kicked in the nuts for them and the end of CF and SLI, wille Intel takes the glory with Lucid Hydra technology. :)

Looking at how bad cf and sli works sometimes, and both are configurations with same brand cards, put together 1 ati and 1 nvidia will be madness.

Last i heard was that you'll only be able to use any 4 cards from the ONE vendor together, i.e: nvidia with nvidia or ati with ati. You'll still be able to run cards from different generations together though, i.e: 280GTX + 8800GT etc.

Where did they got the info? From what I have heard Windows sees only the Lucida driver and the Lucida driver runs Nvidia and AMD drivers each in its own sandbox. so there should be no problem. Don;t remembered where I read this, though..Quote:
