Bios 0804 issue ?
Thanks mate will grab this and try it out :)
BTW my soundcard in the black slot hits the heatsink on the n/b anybody know of any heatsinks i can put on there and mod.
Yay! Finally a thread for us :D
Anybody working with the new bios yet? Results?
As for the soundcard... All you have to do is bend off the first 4 heatsink pins on the bottom row of the NB sink and it'll fit just fine. Go look on the Asus forums. There's a guy who posted pics. Seems easier and chaper than replacing the sink with an aftermarket one
is anyone else incredibly annoyed by the 0.05v QPI/DRAM volt drop?!
(ps, i thought i just saw a 0904 BIOS in a cpuz shot)
I am not happy with the .05V QPI drop myself
I having the weirdest problem. Everything works fine until I shutdown the computer and try to turn it on 20 minutes later. All I get is a flicker of light (as if the computer is starting to boot up) and nothing happens. The only way to get the computer started is to turn off the power supply, wait a couple of minutes, and turn it on. Works fine except for the warm boot issue. Any ideas? Thanks.
can someone post their bios settings? my computer keeps restarting spontaneously!
any major issues with the board? Im thinking of getting this board myself.
Mine runs fine so far with the new bios, got my 920 auto clocked @3.3ghz saves me £600 on a better cpu :D
I've also got a thread for this board. I've had it up for a few days now.. It has a lot of good information on it. Everyone check it out.. It's at the bottom of my sig.
The only thing they changed in the 08 bios is Some compatibility of Raid cards.
Is this a beta bios or a final build?
beta latest official is 0705
Exact same issue... Press power, fires up fir a second then powers right down. Pressing the power button again does nothing.
Only way to get it running was to turn off the psu at the switch, leave it off for a couple of seconds. Then turn it back on and everything works fine.
I rma'd my mobo twice and psu 3 times before I figured out that using the 4x4 CPU cable fixed the prob
I am having a problem getting my system to work when using Corsair 3 x 2Gb DDR3 Dominator PC3-12800C8 1600MHz at both 1333 or 1600. If i run 2 sticks everything runs fine and as soon as i insert the 3rd stick the system boots and instantly BSOD's then reboots. I have tried moving the sticks to different dimms with no change. I have tested all the sticks individually and they all pass memtest just fine. When I raise the Dram voltage to 1.61-1.65 the system refuses to boot all together. Did i miss a required BIOS setting change or something of that nature? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And my full system specs are as follows.
i7 920 - Rampage II Extreme X 58
2 XFX 9800GX 2's - Corsair 3 x 2GB DDR3 Dominator PC3-12800C8 1600MHz
2 WD Raptor X 150GB- PC Power & Cooling 750w-X-Fi Titanium - Fatal1ty
I've got this problem also.
I've got another problem, has anyone ever heard of it-
Set an overclock to 4ghz on my 965, all is stable and fine, runs prime without a problem. Problem is Vista, core temp and real temp all read the overclock @ 3.7. CPUZ reads it correctly @4ghz. This is quiet strange so i install Everest to see what it reads, it performs the usual start up test then when it gets to "read cpu speed" i get a BSOD.
Is this a mobo fault? Should i wait for a new bios or RMA ?
i tested bios 0804 and it will not allow me to Overclock my core i7  have to flash back to bios 0705
Yeah you can get all the bio's in the thread in my signature. I have a lot of good info in there. Bookmark FTW!
