24k 3dmark06 - 8800GTS 512MB (MSI)

yesterday I was at T_M from Team Au's home and we had 30L of ln2 to go :)

had problems with the rig for 10 out of 12 hours benching. and i only started churning out scores at the 11 hour where i only had about 5L of Ln2 to go. so quick runs at just 5.4ghz max. the cpu could actually go to 5.6 but i didnt want to try since i was nearly out of ln2.

The target of the bench was 24k 3dmark06 for me. i will not submit yet till i get the full array of 3d benchmarks then i will submit in hwbot. Coming up next 25k 3dmark 06 on single 8800gts! score will be coming up on futuremark in a few mins :)

Rig is as follows:
Intel QX9770 ES C741 i think
Gigabyte X48T DQ6 Rev1.1 f4h bios
Gskill PC 12800 1600MHz CL7 2x1GB
MSI 8800GTS 512MB G92 Vgpu + capacitor modded 1.49Vgpu idle
WD 36Gb Raptor
Silverstone 1000W PSU

haha i'm not the only one with 3ghz shaders. intend to push more next run since only -85 degrees :)

I believe you could get 25K if you just tighten the timmings of your's DDR3 for 7-7-7-xx and bump the clocks to the 800Mhz region:)

haha yea but sometings was wrong with the frigging cpu i;'m sure... the moment i hit tighter timings and faster speeds i suddenly cant boot for nuts.. its not the board since i have rammed this board pretty hard too and it could do it.

so thats why i was stuck with crap ram speeds and all. if not my standard speed is 18xxmhz++ and 7-7-6-15 1T or close :)

but nah that memory speed will not bring me 25k. rather a 5.6ghz cpu or faster plus a colder graphics card will :D maybe haha~ we'll see!

i think is the WR on sigle 8800gts ... what's the WR for a nvidia 88xx g80/g92 shaders mhz's ?

Congrats on da numbers as of now, but I do expect more as that CPU + RAM surely can do much more along with card. Keep Pushing :D

Yeah that CPU/Board/RAM just wasnt happy at all, NFI what was wrong.

u know i do think it was either one of the three. but oddly, the only thing that we had in common for them was CPU. remember we hit it on urs and it was the same when we hit it on mine? so yup :) all the best man! my 9650 just hit malaysia this morning. back probably thursday

Sorry to have to do this but I just gotta check. Your GT3 looks way off or is it me that's doing something wrong? I've tested many times with same results.

Higher clocks, lower GT3+GT4. It's not a little lower either, a full 10 fps. 10 fps in GT3 equals about 500 points alone!

Nvidia driver inconsistency? A few guys on XS have been complaining about it in general (ie: same driver but on 2 separate installs can give fairly different scores)

Seems MIP tweak was used. In my opinion it should not be used as it's no longer a benchmark when you can't see what's going on.
