Hi, Achill3uS-san.
Thank you so much for your infomation of ASUS P5K Vmod.
I measure the resistance between "Vcore mod point you show" and "FD of ADP3198".
However, it showed 28k ohm, and not zero.
So I did Vcore mod as follows.
At present, it seems to go well.

Thank you very much for your report NewBeetle-san
I will try your vcore mod, It seems worked very well :D
Congrats to your sub9sec ;)
Hi, Achill3uS-san NB-san
Point to be able to measure VDDR with clip:)

Would these be the same on the P5K Deluxe WiFi?

P5K Vcore Method that can be easily measured

oooh very nice CAL930.. so i assume it's same for P5K Deluxe ?
i guess if i get someone to wire up some mini SMD clips to a wire with 4pin molex i can read my vcore/vdimm on the fly without modding my board :)
also is there any trick to getting the mini SMD clippers to attach to the components on the board, everyone keeps saying components are too small for clippers to attach to ???
Yes, thanks. That is very easy to get to.
thanks ppl :)
i'v tested the v-drop and didn't work for me, only pencil vdrop works, and to be nice, 1.5v set on bios give 1.65v real hehe but no drop
any one can fix the restorater vdroop mod ?
Guys the vMCH mod in the first post is not correct AFAIK, its 6th leg to ground not the 7th like on the picture! Ground point is also not correct its 3rd leg not 2nd one.
nice going guys
glad my photos could help heh
Yeah i was told IC grabbers would be too big.. so curious as well :)
I'm not sure where you guys can get electronics in Australia, but grabbers of those size are really commonplace in the US...
If it helps, here's the datasheet of the grabbers I usually use. (I think it might be the same one that CAL930-san has pictured)
I've found "Vdroop-mod" by kyosen.

Are you running that mod NewBeetle?
I did vdroop in the "kyosen way" and its working flawlessly, nut I used 50k (with 10-20k it should work OK also).
Sorry but I dont have a pic of the board, so I can only say that vmch mod is 6th leg of the IC wich is marked in Achillus photo to ground by 10k pot.
Same question, because i only have two 50k and 2 20k VRs left.
