[WR] DDR2 CAS5 Crucial PC8000 + ASUS P5K Deluxe
-
comon go 7x and show me what ya got
-
Wow.. thats surely is a high frequency!
And the volts arent that high.
Can't you push i further with more volts?
-
Yep I will try it but I'm again mainboard limited :(
I think that I can do same with 2.3V only
-
Was it easier to achieve with p35 or p965?

it id sure on P35, on 965, my ram can only go to 550 no matter what CL value.
now my ram can go to 570 on CL4 and even 651 on CL5
CPU-Z got error on old BIOS:

Sure that it's a lot easier in CAS5.
With My P5B Delxue : max screen : 716MHz.
With this P5K Deluxe : max screen : 742MHz.

Interesting. How far have you gotten with cas4? My memory controller won't let me go past 650mhz for some reason. It may have something to do with ratios and such. Have you ever tried to get to 700mhz on 6xx nvidia chipsets?
-
Max bench 1M around 725-728MHz
Never tester NF6xx
I will test CAS4 soon ^^
-
hmmm it never occured to bench with one stick :D
-
-
jmax
btw i tested all the ratios on P5K mobo and it seems that 3:5 ratio gives highest RAM clocks on my board
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=122
maybe try that ratio and see if you can squeeze another 5MHz or whatever heh
-
Thanks dinos, I just received this mainboard so I do not try all the ratios :)
I saw that 5:6 isn't very good.
4:5 reach 697Mhz bench 2x1Go
2:3 rox (you see my screens)

One stick (usually doesn't matter which stick it is either) will usually run higher than two sticks. Not only that, but you can hit higher FSBs with one stick versus two. Why you may ask... Less stress on the MCH with one stick ;)

Did You try that crucial at p5b deluxe or some else nice 965 MB?
btw Great work!

-
 Good work
Congrats next WR ;)
