Thats not a good sign...all that chipset cooling?
Are those DDR3 slots?
Thanks for the pic!
Could be a bad sign, I think it is just to impress costumer.Quote:

This is a DDR2 board, and it's already been tested hands-on by people you've most likely seen around here. P35 is still in the alpha stages though and the boards are very immature.
You can see from the silk-screen by the DIMM slots that it's DDRII.Quote:

Is it just me or is the NB HS in the way of the first x1 slot?
Too many big HSs around the socket.
maybe the cooling is interchangeable with the R600 cooling:P
Looks like the chipset is gona run hotter than a stock Core 2
i see 12 phase regulation? OMFG!!!
jeeze what an ugly cooler, and board all together, i wonder if it rally needs all that cooling.. thats got to be better then most aftermarket coolers...
And I thought Striker had big heatpipes, but that's just huge.
ok that kinda cooling is just un called for lol, i wonder how hot those get
I'm also testing it right now...
Geez, what all is under that big sink in the middle? That's just ridiculously huge. How is anyone supposed to maneuver a cpu heatsink onto the socket with THAT?
Man...talk about overkill on the chipset cooling. Why didn't they just go ahead and include some Dice Pots? :)
any other information about this board?
sick sh*t
what's next; three stage heatpipe cooling? chipset and vrm cooling devices bigger than the cpu cooler?
i'm waiting for the day when the bling bling stuff costs more than the "real" components on it. :p:
i like having the cooling on, its not overkill if it'll help you push the board a lil further with the stock cooler. would be good if there was some sort of active attachment, like....ummm i forget the board now he he, i think it was abit that allowed you to add on a fan or something???? :S
Strangely enough:If this board clocks like crazy and is rockstable, suddenly everyone stops moaning about the heatpipe...and start drooling over it..For me,i don't give a damn how a board looks like,as long as it's a good one....
when will they stop messing with us and JUST STOP PAINTING those sinks in copper colour FFS
either put copper ones there or stop misleading people
fake copper is usually pretty easy to spot imo, this stuff looks real...
LOL are you sureQuote:

I don't understand?...why the elaborate cooling setup?, don't get me wrong...i like it.
But i assumed Bearlake was made using 65nm technology, the chipset uses less voltage/power/produces less heat etc.
Or am i totally wrong?

At least the cooling solution is mounted with screws, not like those crappy plastic clips on ASUS' 680i's (Striker, P5N32-E)
atleast ... ;)Quote:
