Anyone have the link when this was shown using small square pieces of glass on a table? Each piece of glass was placed inside a tablet. Each piece of glass has a specific function like weather reports, photo album, etc...

I wish I was born 100 years later. Such a thing like that could be in my living room then.

Or 1 thousand years later.... Maybe then I might be born on some place other than Earth.

Great video.
There is a different company somewhere that uses a projector and steam as a screen. They had an "touch the steam" control aswell. Unfortunately I forgot what it was called, but that one is at least as good.
I want 2 :P

but i doubt that such a thing will ever replace mouse/keyboard (or equivalent equipment), would be kinda hard to play games that way ;D

Some of it looks much like the iphone interaction.

While the stuff he was doing looked "cool," I did not see much that actually looked like a better way to interact with a computer. It all actually looked like a lot more work. :stick:

Wow also impressive is which hardware moves that. Even with the whole Google Earth database cached on local discs it zooms really fast. And the Gaudi photographs movement is really smooth.

Thats very american. Of course moving your finger is very hard work. You can even loose some calories (that would be pitty). I have better idea: If you make a computer which is controled by your jaws, you wouldnt need to make breaks between meals. :rolleyes:

while I can see this would be a strange thing to use for long periods of time... I can see some areas where it would be absolutly amazing to have.

like animation, art, digital photo editing, video editing, and things like that.

too many people are just too use to sitting in front of a screen doing little more then moving thier wrist.
so it would take awhile to get some real converts, but for artists and such, its very very easy to see how this would be a dream come true.

I myself am an artist, and for me, this thing would be heaven...
to remove the limitations of mice and keyboards, and get a much more streamlined ability to just "do" what you need to... without having to move through endless windows and options... it would greatly improve ones ability to be creative, without having to stop and think about the technical aspect of things...

absolutly beautiful.

best thing I seen in awhile and definatly had me smiling from ear to ear.

Some paralyzed people DO have a chip put into their brain which allows them to move a cursor on a computer, but not much else :)

GNOME is visible on one part of the video, so its probably running on a Dual Head Linux computer

at the same time using a keyboard would burn more calories, why don't we just remove your mouse and let you use a Command interface like real men do :stick:

Think less about the method and more about ease of use.

PS: Im not against the innovations :nono:

EDIT: or maybe it would be even harder to control computer using your mind. Think about it, you should be concentrated very hard all the time, it would be mental exhausting IMO.
