how does the p5b-e plus compare to the p5b-e ? because its like the same mobo donly diffirence i can see is thats its black. The price here in holland is 155.90 for plus and 139.90 for normal -e. So i'd realy like to know how it is, especialy with quad core. Could you plz try if the fsb with c2q also goes up to 600, or is this max fsb ?
thanks

I believe the main difference lies within the vdimm settings. The deluxe and premium flavors have higher options.
With that said if you have some DDR2 that can push some good frequencies without a lot of voltage, the P5B-e is a good choice.

Nice results, Junior. What are the temperatures like under load?

Give us your max ORTHOS stable frequency - all 4 cores loaded. At least 4 hours. Please (I realize this is a time taker) - if you can't supply this info, no big deal. Thanks.

That's more expensive than here in Finland  Here the QX6700 is 970 euros (=little bit under 1300$).
-
Yep, just checked prices in Europe
UK oem cpu: £700 ~ $1350
Germany: 930EUR ~ $1200
This includes high VAT/sales tax

pricing is out of Intel's hands...thats all Newegg and they seem to like that people will pay that.

yah, it is all newegg.
even amazon had them in stock for a bit at 1100 with free shipping (retail).
there are other us retailers only charging ~1100ish.
erwinz, quad core kentfield with 1.45vcore and 8800gtx only pulls about 400W. It isnt like these things demand insane power supplies.
His zippy would have no problems handling another 8800gtx.
