Ty for the heads up wombat :)

That is insane...nearly twice as fast as the x1950? doesn't seem right..? anyywho..I thought I heard something about how these cards will be hard to overclock can anyone confirm? Thanks.. also any news on either dual core or dual pcb version ever coming out? thanks..!
The only thing I've heard about OCing and the G80 is that nvidia didn't want manufactures to OC it and sell it.
What is that to the left of the GPU and ram...it looks like an athlon xp????
Ramdac for the DVI outputs.
Why does it need it? Sorry offtopicQuote:

The GTS is disapponting in this (first?) chinese review.

GTS and GTX are cpu bottlenecked...oced GTS can hit 20k 05 on air with 3.8ghz c2d.

Well, I think once all the numbers come in and NVIDIA shares the architecture, people will see that the GTS card might be a bit of a let down. That is, if 70% the performance of a GTX is dissappointing. The 7950GX2 and the 8800 GTS will be similar in OC testing.
The reason (where have we seen this before ;) ) :

GTX 256 MB raster buffer, 64 unified on vertex/geo step
GTS 128 MB raster buffer, 32 unified on vertex/geo step
Offtopic a tiny bit but doesnt anyone think that the 8800GTX and X1950XTX coolers look very reminiscent of each other??? They look so damn close in overall shape and fan placement...

I should just go away for a couple of days...wait for ocers to have the GTS in their hands...tear apart notions of its inferiority..and then come back.

QFT! :fact:Quote:

But, the performance of the GTX will be more significant than the delta between 7900GTX and the 7900GT, especially with AA and AF scaling. The benchmarks are little more than CPU tests for these cards. We really need to run the testing at 1920x1200 with 4x AA and 16x AF to see how the cards really scale.Quote:

I will agree w/ you fully...but i will point out that you cant compare deltas on unified shader tech to deltas from last gen cards.Quote:

Good god man...what use is a jpg if it loads as slow as a bitmap ?Quote:

Same memory density as GTX but 128 MB vertex/geo buffer versus the 256 MB on the GTX. And, now you see where the third card comes along. So, a GTX down clocked version soming soon and already identified in the driver INF files.
