I've got a buddy that's telling me his stock 3800+ does a 11sec 1M Super Pi. He's not OC'd. He even sent me a screeshot that I think he "doctored" up in PChop.
What should a stock 3800+ do in SuperPi?
Thanks.

Maybe 41 seconds?
My X2 3800+ at 3.05Ghz does in the upper twenties.
lol....wow. aren't only highly oc'd conroes getting times that low? *sigh* lieing is so bad but man can it be funny sometimes.
@ 2.6 it is 35sec @ 2.8 im getting just below 30, 29.7
so he is full of you know what =)
Can you post the doctored screen shot so we can look closely at it and laugh first hand.
Sure it is!
Fredyama (PRTeamJapan) is just a noob hitting what... 21 sec? with LN2 cooled FX57 and all his great tweaks.. ;)
Nah, your friend aint truthin'
Its impossible... Less i have seen with an AMD was this one:

27seconds here with 3.1ghz....
he's lying
doctored pic doctored pic! :)
I've actually found that it is *incredibly* easy to doctor a CPU-Z and Superpi run screenshot to validate correctly at absurdly low times (ie 5 second 1M)... superpi validation needs a fixup ;)

Best results with AMD I belive.
have him get it validated
I don't recall ever seeing an AMD doing under 20sec Super Pi 1M :fact:
Dude, did you really need to post here to ask that?! :stick:Quote:

Hey all, thanks for the info. I knew he was full of somethin'...I just didn't know how much of that stuff he was full of. :) I just talked to him and he's saying all of this with a straight face.
Thanks for the replies and I'm going to shut him down right now. I'll show him this thread if I have to.
validation is a breeze to fake, as proved by the attached image (which, by the way, i opted to leave in enough evidence of fakery to avoid confusing anybody ;) ) but NOTE! validate it ;)Quote:

lol....not happening.
The fastest clocked FX57 at 4.2ghz world record man got 17 or 18secs on the 1m test. Only AM2's are capable of 24 or 23secs on 1m tests at only 3ghz because of the huge bandwidth and DDR2 speeds at low timmings.
I'd really like to see that, cause I simply cant belive without picture.. :) - And info on person that did it..Quote:
