By lowering multiplier, of course. Many bioses offer this possibility with C2D.

Now we are going towards 600, to be honest I haven't expected this after first Conroe results but comes time, comes FSB :D

I think once the ram is taken out of the equation... meaning we finally get ram thats able to hit 1.2 ghz without crapping out... then we would probably see 600 fall rather fast.
these days, I think 1.2 is really really tough on ram, and is most likely the biggest limiting factor.... ironically ;)

Corsair is going to launch soon some "special" kind of new DDR2 series... expect some >DDR1100 @ 4-4-4-x / 2.4V (default settings). ;)
