Maybe you have some more informations why this could be? :fact:
-
wow i didnt know conroe could run at 88c!!!!!! there i was thinking 60c is to hot?????
-
88 DEGREES!!!! Thats like MELTING THE SOLDER HOT. Didn't Shamino rip 2 cores off @ 85 Degrees while trying to remove IHS's?!?
in-freakin-sane...
-
Dam what is too hot for these chips?
I am runnin scared @ 62
-
Coolaler:
what kind of CFM's does that rear 120 MM fan put out?....
the reason i am asking; is it sufficient to pull enough air over that monster heat sink?
-
did you happen to find the boardst max stable fsb?
do you really think AsusProbe was correct about the temps
i mean, did you touch the Heatsink?
@ T>70 you are not supposed to touch the heatpipes for over 2-3secs

good point. doesn't seem like it could really be 85 or it's a sink seating problem maybe? In any case, so far the board seems only on par with an average P5WDH.
Cooaler, can you try at 1.85Vmch at over 400fsb?

does this apply to the non-pro version as well?
-
If you look at the intel data sheet for the i975x mch controller oddly enough it says any bank can be populated in any order to run dual channel mode.
http://download.intel.com/design/chi...s/31015801.pdf
Section 9.2.2.1
I guess the best way to find out if it works on your board would be to try it.
-
wonder when it'll be available in the US?
-
This might be a silly questions..
But whats the pro/cons against Asus P5W-DH ???
-
That is very likely not the real temperature at all.
