Some Dothan/7900gtx am3 fun

Threw together the 780m/7900gtx for it's last sendoff in am3 and 01' tonight.
Session ended very prematurely however, as I think I killed this p4gd1 :(...dammit. need to let it dry out overnight I think.

Worked up the card clocks for a a pretty nice single gpu am3 score.
Almost 21k cpu score under 4ghz still!
Card is about maxed, but cpu def. had enough to take WR and do some damge in 01'...hope the board lives. Really bummed about it atm.

the samsung gddr 3 is set tight compared to the spec sheet would relaxing them help the rest us get better clocks

Mobo and adapter tested fine this morning with a diff chip. I think running high vcca(2.8v) earlier last night during some cpu testing may have lead to it's failure. I had that little :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: lh/dh/ch stable over 4050mhz too.

That is a crazy score anyway. 20K+ for cpu:slapass: . And so close to WR.
I bet if Dothan had a better platform to run on you would get it...

FP workloads access the memory in a much more regular fashion.

That poor little chip must have had about 100 LN2 baths :D It's probably cracked in half under the skin ...

With a new dual gpu kit that will be cake Kris ;)
At 4070mhz or so with my current tuning and gpu clocks, I calculated about the max this setup could put out is around 157k. Not gonna happen with my good ES gone Would have been an amazing score for single gpu and dothan.

Did some testing on my last 780ES that was one of the first revision ES's out along with the Japanese from early last year that I still have here. This chip however is fsb limited over 3400mhz (just like Japanese ES's). It can only scale with the 17x. Working on getting it 3d stable over 4100mhz today. I will need 4100-4150mhz using 17x to match the power of the ES that died at 4ghz+ with 15x. This chip is so worked. All of the edges of the die are rounded off smooth. It looks as though it has been sanded lol.
Testing is good so far with it...this chip can take over 1.9v NP:

You can see the low fsb is handicapping the cpu power as I could easily match those 01 system score with 15x and around 3920mhz on the other chip.

I had close to this cpu speed below 2 days ago in 01' on my good ES with 15x and 270+ on the ram before the chip failed. With a little higher card clocks then what I was running today and 270-271 x 15 like I had, 57k or more no doubt about it. 1030+ DL's easy. Still got Kyosen though :)

Thanx ex2cib. SLI stuff burned up all my damn time ...but better late than never eh? My timing is just bad. The load temperatures that this score requires is not good for warm and humid weather we have now :(. Prolly should have finished off dothan stuff over a month ago. That nearly 56k score took so much. The new intel kits will be pulling very close to 60k I bet...good times ahead.

That is some impressive stuff man. Where do you live where it's hot/humid enough to really affect your inside temps that much?

Thanx sang. I had the conainer temp around -85c to -90c for these runs. Is team romania still going to put some dothan numbers up at the top? Looking forward to that. Dothan is still very strong chip for single card 01'...despite the new intel offerings.

-90 looks awsome Vince. I dont think my Gainward will stand it.
I presume Delta = 0,right ? And how did you solved your previous bugged DL,DH runs ?
