Intel must have really F'd up 915/925/945/955 if this is really the case.
maybe asus will make a 478>775 socket adapter now for the p4p boards :D
ROFL......:DQuote:

I wonder if ASUS P5P800SE would support conroe aswell?
They probably did that so users with DDR can get in on the act. :)Quote:

Some guys can't paste a damn. :D
And no, it supports neither DDR2, nor PCI-E. I kindly ask the IT-dummy guys that know poo about chipsets and sockets to STFU.
That picture is photo chopped from the looks of it.
When has any mobo maker ever silk screened the code name of a CPU on a board?
If indeed this is true , i still would stay away from these boards. They will be exremely FSB limited with Conroe

I *think* that what happened is that ASRock didn't have an up to date product photo of the real board (which actually exists) so they had to photoshop one for the press release.
This is all speculation on my part.
No one accused YOU of a fake. Your either paranoid or insecure about this issue.
I am extremely disappointed with Xtremesytems for censoring out my whole post. It got deleted for NO REASON.
It just shows that you guys censor out information that you don't want to know and want to hide the accusation of your users. What kind of freedom of speech are you guys proclaiming about.
Get back to the point. The users noob and mr thinker have been accusing us of photoshopping and posting fake news and info. You can find out more from the thread below.
To Mr Noob & Mr thinker (most likely to be hiding under two diff nicks), show me the proof that i faked the information and photos then. You are now even accusing ASrock. Why should I feel insecure when I have posted all the proof in the thread below.

Hmm. the 865 is a good chipset... I just wish I could get a 945 as I like this chipset that much better...

Can there be a converter for LGA 775 to 478?> Thats a lot of pins

AsRock 865+Conroe Testing
Maybe all of them are chopped,LOL The one at Hkepc looks the same. http://www.hkepc.com/bbs/news.php?tid=593760 per Stym
This is why it's no good to say something is chopped (accusing or speculating) unless you know for sure it is. When shown it's not chopped, the accuser looses credibility.
There's a difference between accusing and speculating. And the photo at hkepc is from the same source.
Good luck getting a decent bios from the ASRock boys in Taipei. We'll have to see how that board plays out. I'm thinking a long bout with the BIOS(s).
