whats the deal? i figured retailers should have lowered their prices by now since the cuts took place yesterday. i was looking forward to picking up a 920, but they are still going for 238 bucks. what gives?

they will sell current inventory based on costs at time of purchase. they don't plan on losing money because intel lower prices for new orders. whew.
Then Newegg must sell a hell a lot of AMD chips as opposed to Intel. On Newegg more often than not start selling AMD chips at the lower price a fewdays before the price cut takes effect.
oh, so most likely it will take another 30-60 days to see a price cut, possibly longer. thats bush.
Oh, today in Israel we have seen the price cut. 930 that had yesterday the price of 2200-2300 (~480 USD) NIS is today selling for 1442 NIS (~306 USD).
That is a 35% cut.
We are all shocked (and happy :party3: )
We have price cuts here in UK :) a 940 which use to cost £300+ is now £160
And the 965 3.6Ghz is released which is roughly 1000 - 1100 dollars.
in JP 950 is 350us$ and 940 is 280us$Quote:

What have the 940s been running in the US? I see that they're now ~$275 shipped. I assume that's the 'old' price...?
They were 423$ So, that's already a huge cut! Though Newegg still hasn't taken that greatly into effect leaving them at 378$
Not sure why you are not seeing the price cut. I just saw 930 selling for $215 at mwave. 940 selling for $253 + shipping. Thats a huge price cut.
I'll have to agree with you here.Quote:

new seems to have pulled the majority of intel chips off their listings. Im guessing it will adjust prices asap to remain competitive.
newegg didnt have them up at 12 pm today. i havent checked since.
Yeh at some places your seeing the effects starting to kick in Newegg on the other hand not fully yet.Quote:

newegg does not have the 920 anymore, so im assuming they are starting to make changes. they 930 is still overpriced according to the charts.
ZZF has the 920 for 212 bucks. im so going to buy one of those.
Time for me to buy a few 930s:toast:

Probably will see the C1 steppings sometime next month.
Hope this information is helpful.

im not gonna wait for c1, even though i should... my brother and i are both building pentium d systems within the next week, so im just gonna get one now. only question now is whether to get a 930 or 940... hmmm, wonder which clocks better. what multi does the 930 have, 15x? and the 940 has 16x?
Exactly. 930 has 15x and 940 has 16x.
Any C1's already out there folks ??
And I've got the same doubt that viper650 has ... 930 or 940 ?? :(
holy thread revival batman! :DQuote:

i went 930 and want my old 920 back. i hate this 15x multi. wish i could get a 14, or with c1 a 12x.Quote:

I'm "only" at 4.2 with my 920D. Do you think with a 930D I'll go far ?
seems like these chips are hit or miss... some are great clockers, and will hit 4.0 on stock volts(i have one now) others are terrible and cant hit 3.6 on stock volts(ive had one of those too)Quote:

stable, i can get around 4.4. i use 4.0 for daily use and its overkill really. im about to sell my entire rig anyways, either to my employer(:fact: ) or on ebay.
Can a 930D get 4.0 on def vcore ?
yes, im running 4.0 at stock vcore now.Quote:
