Cool, there's some power in that celeron for sure :D Got any 3D benches?
Just realized that it's close to AMD WR :D
Wow, thats incredible. What time does a dothan get at 3.1ghz, like 25's?
Nice job victor :toast:
That's just too good to be thruth :D
Some nice power in that celly...
Man Victor you got all the goods here on XS
Who would have thought a Celeron M could do so well.
Are you allowed to take some photo's of your rig ? Or is some hardware uder NDA :nono:
Thats friggin awsome ... incredible results. BTW, run some 3d too ;).
I wonder what the max clock for one of those are? Will probably get limited due to fsb :(
Thats a crazy little chip victor! Real nice 1m for clock speeds.
I'll take some photos if you guys wants to see.
These are not under NDA.
I think my Aopen 975x has some problem.
Tested T2600/2500/2400/2300/CM430, no one can get over 241fsb.
I've tried lower the M/P by GCPUID and pull up the fsb by the remote cotroll.
but.... all failed when hit 242fsb.
that's really sucks !
Maybe you need to get more volts on the NB?

I can not beleive how many times I've gone back and forth but I go where the bang-for-the-buck is and if your results are for a "lowly" Celeron... then I'm sold. :D
Thanks for doing a bang-up job on all your processor tests! :toast:

Wow, all that on a budget chip.
Victor is this a ES chip, or just a normal production chip?
Looking good :)
Impressive results for such a low-end cpu.
Thanks for supplying all the great benches over the weekend VW, not only this, but all the other threads on conroe/yonah etc. Just how many rigs do you have running atm.? :D
I wonder how much would it cost
:toast:
cheap :D
next person who says celerons are slow
will need a wip in
I wonder why it's quite a bit faster than a Dothan at the same clockspeed.
65nm vs 90nm :shrug:Quote:

and so far, th is yonah based procesesor can OC LIKE A MOTHER.. 1.7 to 3G on air :)
what are the temps like?
Holy :banana::banana::banana:! That is a fast budget cpu for sure!

The core processor is just a monster :)
Impressive Celery !!!
Good Job Victor
The idea for avaibility a Celery yonah M410/M430 ?
Thank
are these scheduled to come out at the same time as the conroe's? or are they scheduled to come out sooner?
i've been away from the scene for a while and intel is all "yea lookit all this new stuff we made, it rocks". what gives?
amd fanboys who call celerons slow should be shot.
aha~~~these chips are available now.
I think it's cheap enough , took only 120usd ^_^
but...I got only 7pcs 1.73G, 1 for 1.6G.
all ES version.
the new Celeron-M faster than a Dothan 'cos of it structure is same as Yonah.
Which is different from Dothan, not only have larger L2_cache but have a brand new design.
Victor
Great job testing this weekend Victor. Looks like these are really going to kill the Dothan oc market. Intel sure has their ducks in a row now.:)
and intel fanboys who get on the case of amd fanboys before they even say anything should share the same fate. :stick:Quote:

Nice Nice.... Celly Ms always had potential.... Too bad I cannot run it with the CT479..... I would be yumping on one..
Alex
VictorWang, looking to sell one of those? :)
I can't find them anywhere here in the U.S
Wow great results for a celly. Intel is doing well
very good now imagine alittle di ;) or ln2Quote:

wicked,nice work again victor
wow get there chips a real mobo and ill be getting one FAST.,
comes again.........
1.73G oc 3.34G, wow~~~~~~

Impressive !!!!!
cooling ??
How much these cpu's cost? A 'budget' cpu and it beats the crap out of my 630 :slobber:
OMG. Almost a 100% OC on AIR, with a 20s SPi 1M, with a Celeron.
Dare I say it, is it TOO fast.?
LOL. A 'budget" cpu and it beats the crap out of my 955Quote:

yet another amazing set of results from yourself victor - more awesome contribution to the community.
It looks like intel are starting to roll out some very impressive chips.
any chance you could bench some 3d for comparison.
No problem if you have no time - you seem very busy!
thanks in advance.

just thinking, at 2ghz dothan seemed about equal to yonah, but here at 3.1 it looks like the yonah scales a hell of alot better then dothan!
Yonah has always been superior.... @ 2.0Ghz it scores better in SPi etc, etc...

if I mount a Tower120 and lower my room temp bellow 15c ambient.
I think 3.4Ghz or more is not that hard to reach :D
How'd you get around the FSB issues you were talking about earlier?
Beautiful CPUs ;) I think that Intel is going to kick AMD's :slapass: :slapass:
Hey Victor... is there any way you can run the Seventeen or Bust Distributed Computing program in this setup? You'd only have to run it for 5 or 10 minutes and then just report what the cEMs/sec are.
If you're too busy or you've already taken apart the rig... no problem. I'm just curious what it does in this project because that would be one thing I do with it. ;)
p.s. http://www.seventeenorbust.com is the linky... :D

ps: seems only Celeron-M can get over 241fsb but could not exceed 255fsb.
even use the remote control :(
most yonah chips cannot go more than 238fsb .
don't know what's the problem is.
mobo ? or CPU ?
Thanks Victor! :toast:
(And no hurry... whenever you get some free time and feel like doing it.)
victor I might be looking to take one of those off you... PM a price inc. insured shipping to the UK and I'll see what I can do. These chips almost justify spending such a rediculous amount of money on a mobo!
Nice. Not too bad on 3d for $120 chip. My opty 144 @ 2.7 was only about 700 higher with 1900xt @ 700/800. You should get some other benchmark #'s.
I would have to say that these chips seem pretty amazing. To the people asking where you can get them, I dont think you can get them outside of asia (yet). On dailytech there was an article saying that some of them had been popping up here and there in japan, but they are likely not here in the US or in Europe yet.
