Nice! Thanks Tony :toast:
More than 4.0vdimm :toast:
Nice, i'll give these a try!
Thanks Tony. Full of help as always...
So you are saying the last file can be used on my DFI NF4 UT Ultra-D board? How does this fare against the other 3/29 released bios? I can't find anything on 4/06 on DFI Street or the DFI homepage. Thanks.
^^
I just put it on my Ultra D and am doing some stability testing...

I'm loving the 3/29 bios, hopefully this can be even better.
Thanks :toast:
Can anyone confirm if the 150 divider as well as CAS 1.5 being back in this bios since it was out in 3/29? Besides the relaxed timings for easier boot does this bios really offer anything new for Ultra-D users? It seems the main changes are only for the Expert and Venus boards with the higher vdimm and chipset voltage.
sweet! :toast:
Nice one Tony!
0406 bios > DFI NF4 Ultra-D ?
I'm using the 3/29 and the 150 divider now with a 144 opty. 9x multi though. Havn't checked for cas 1.5.Quote:

Tony mentioned a long time back that Oskar actually had a bios for the NF4 boards that has CAS 1.5 fully working with actual performance increases over CAS 2 though nothing ever surfaced to the end user. I was really hoping one of these later bioses would have implemented that but I guess not. I hope CAS 1.5 can be unhidden too. My BH-6 worked very well with that.
150 divider works fine on my ultra d and opty 165
the 150 divider is only missing with the opty 146's and the x10 multiplier AFAIK
I need the 150 divider with my 3000+, so I hope you're right ;)
With me Opteron 146 divider 150 is only missing while booting with the 10x multi. If i boot with 9.5 or less i can choose 150. If i do so, change multi to 10 and safe it wil boot and run 150 fine on multi 10 (just as it does when i set it in a64tweaker). If i reboot and go back into bios its set to 166 though.
quick question for ya...
I have an Opteron 175... I was wondering if ALL the dividers are present and working with a 10x multi AND an 11x multi?
-Thanks
150 divider not there with 10x multiplier.Quote:

150 divider seems to be CPU stepping dependant, some will run it and some won't, i can tell you it is in all bios files.
Cas 1.5 is there also, check the pic

I have a feeling CPU revision is the issue maybe, if i catch Oskar I will ask him.
Remember to read the changelog i posted, it explained what bios is for what board and that i have set 2t by default, this is to make the bios file boot friendly.
VE=Venus
EX=expert
the last bios is old skool NF4
mad props to Tony for modding a bios in 3 days and then letting us know about it
corrected the issue with level 7 drive strength
added .txt file with changelog and file per board explaination
Odd divisor correct is when you use an odd multi on the CPU, it alters the way the ram frequency is generated, so this should give you al another option to get your 2gig kits clocking nice.
yes,148 have the same problem if use x10 multiplier, but with latest official bios 150 divider is ok.Quote:

What about the expert bios.. based on 29/03/06?
Thanks Tony for post theses bios..!
I see 2 options with the same thing(weak 4)Quote:

Odd divisor correct is there to play with, it clocks your ram DOWN a littlle different using an odd cpu ratio. I found it best while using the E die and the 250 ratio as it gave in between 250 and 233 using a 10 multi on the CPU. Kinda contradictive i know but it does weird things that may let you gain a little more speed.
IE it allowed my CPU to clock higher as it slowed my ram a little.
We added this option as write cas was a useless option to have and having
ODC allows for some further tweakage.
I set all that needed setting to allow an easy bootQuote:

Ah, I guess these 2 'fixes' were just for the Ultra-D and SLI-D/R... the Expert and Venus verisons of 0406BTA hasn't been edited again...Quote:

Thanks!
Just flashed my SLI-DR and so far I'm loving it... I did notice it sets my VX Gold PC4000 to odd timings by default... 2T and RAS 0
A great addition is the CPU core temp offset as I knew my temps were reported wrong by 4°C... I've measured this with a heat gun...
Thanks for all the effort tony!! :toast:
Holy :banana::banana::banana: this BIOS is golden.... It OC's my CPU much better..
I went from 260x10 1.41vc to 270x10 1.44vc with ease... dual priming as I type. I was never really able to go beyond 2.6Ghz unless I really upped the vcore by a large amount...
Temps are pretty good too with temp offset enabled.. I topped at 40°C during priming... ambient temps 21°C with the case open..
this bios juz kill my ultra-d :( ...
at 1st it can run very well....later the system start unstable and freezed...end up with 4 led light death ....damn
Did you try a full cmos clear? I had this too where it was freezing during post and at one point was just greeted with a solid black screen. A good cmos clear with power cable removed and batter removed seemed to do the trick thank God.
yea i did....but da board totaly died now..4 led light up ...wat to do beside hotflash
If it worked initially, I doubt a hotflash would help. Sounds like the board died and the fact that you flashed a bios was just a coincidence.
Tony,
Am I correct to assume this is based off the 3-29 beta for the Expert?
Yes it is... read up a few posts....
can anyone post pictures of the bios? like screenshots? curious of how the thing looks like. and who actually gained a few mhz in there overclock? as far as i know this is still beta right? ain't gonna work 100% stable? anyone get any bugs?
The bios looks the same as all the other bios' Just 1 option is different in the DRAM config....its called Odd Divisor Correct. It is just below Tref instead of the Twcl setting, which was hidden in the other BT bios files anyway :)Quote:

In the Genie bios section underneat the voltages....what is displayed for your PCI-e lanes? 8-4-NC-8? or 2-1-1-16?Quote:

8-4-NC-8 and it's greyed out so I can't change it. SLI jumpers are correct...I just finished playing with the 704-2bta bios earlier in the day
Then SLI should be enabled, that is the right lane designation for SLI.
Where are you seeing that SLI is not enabled? When you re-booted after the flash...did something in Windows change?
I ran a 3d-05 and only got like 9200 as compared to the 14700 I usually get..checked the nVidia display properties program and looked for SLI enabled and it does not show that I can...there is not a box to check to enable
During post the detection page shows SLI enabled(page loads fast and you have to be quick)but it isn't....
Check the Device Manager and make sure the driver is seeing both cards, if not....Get drivercleaner from www.drivercleaner.net (the free version) and follow the instructions then re-install the drivers.
Something just confused the driver it sounds like.
Thats all it took....reinstalled the display driver and now everything works...flashing to this one effects the display driver somehow...
all is good...on to testing.....thanx

Does anyone know if this Bios correctly identifies the FX-60 on the original SLI-DR?
sweet. will have to try this bios when i get some time.
Tony can you give me some tips on how to configure old school bh5 on expert?? (the alphas and dd and dds)
Flashed my ultra-d with 406bta and its working better than the 702-bta. Good job Tony:)
Yes it does.Quote:

Awesome bios. Got my infineon 3dstable.:p:
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/356...eon29tg.th.jpg
Leon939 - you are testing your RAM at 280 when at 200 1:1 (can't pass)
using 180 (9/10) you are at approx 253 on RAM so it is passing.
I believe your RAM is rated at PC4000/DDR500.
Edit:
My infineon isn´t stable, forgot about Odd divisor which i had enabled.:( That´s why so sucky scores because the mem frequency is actually lower than cpu-z shows.:slap:

No his RAM is at the same speed in both tests. He lowered the divider and raised his FSB. Look at the pics. 2800mhz in one test, 3000mhz in the other :fact:Quote:

Leon939 is using the odd divisor correction in the new bios and thats what is confusing him. Just check his bandwith: 3000MB/s in the failed pic and 2700MB/s passed. Just disable it if you are not 100% sure how it works.Quote:

should i get higher with this bios?
Anyone else using this with an eXpert? I might be flashing soon
Yes I am using with expert. I saw peber performance with Ultra-D. Raised 5 htt x10. But with expert is the same htt.
Was it any easier on the memory? I think I might give it a go tonight
Its the same.
