Are you aware if your UCCC(0552~0603) can do that

Well, I have beem shocked by these 2gb set during these couple days when I do the quality check for Team Group Micron 5bf
and Samsung UCCC modules. The reason I start this thread is share the information about the oc performance and my

personal thoughts regarding the settings on the specific date code UCCC ic.

Basically, I checked all the 20 sets of Team Group UCCC here, actually I accidentally clear cmos after I checked 5bf; then

I plug the UCCC set in, key in all the timings I need then check basic official timings. After I done for DDR500, I tried

the DDR560 , here we go, I forgot I will need to change the trp to 4 since official timing for this set is 3-4-3-8,

2.65v~2.8v! Since most of Samsung IC doesn't require that much juice, so, I just keep it around 2.65~2.7v.
After boot into windows, I was still not aware of my timing setting is ddr560 3-4-3-8, so I ran the super pi mod 8m first,
well, at that moment when I ran the CPUZ and a64tweakers, I then noticed that I got 3-4-3-8. I thought this must be

something wrong, but, it was really on 1t command and everything just all right. so I kept the setting and ran for 32m.

Wow it just passed all the way up to DDR570(285) with only 0.02v increasd and couple parameters adjusted. I also did pass

the windows memtest 900mb 1500% (1725 cycles) more test for at least about 90 minutes. After this set test, I check all

the sets around here, they all did about the same.
well it doesn't mean just team group UCCC can do this, I am just wondering if all the UCCC usersalreay figured this out

with about the 0552~0603 dated UCCC. And the chance for doing DDR600 3-4-4-8 on this kind of UCCC is very very greater

than earlier batch.
**Again, these UCCC setes are NOT cherry picked; they all ready to ship to retail.;)
So below is my personal settings share with you guys, those settings on this example pretty much can go up to DDR570 if

your CPU memory controller and power supply are strong enough.

Now let's go ahead and check the stability tests.
DDR560 3-4-3-6, 2.67v; please see above example.

windows screen captured after finished:)

http://www.ocxtreme.org/onepagebook/...343pi32mpf.jpg

now, here I will strongly recommand that everyone should run memtest windows version instead of DOS version.

1725 cycles and 900mb used memory allocation with at least 1500% passed.:)

Thank you for reading, if needed, I will update some 3d action or other benches later.

Good luck

OPB

not bad at all!

Any 3-4-4-x results? :D

I've ordered some G.Skill UCCC and im hoping it has these newer batches of chips

Yep, all UCCC (in general, not any particular week code or DIMM vendor) is very capable of 8-3-4-3.0. Often, it only requires few MHz less from it's max clock at 8-4-4-3.0 in order to be fully stable. Even more - some good UCCC will pull fully stable 250-260MHz 6-3-3-3.0-1T.

Just to throw few examples here - Eldonko's UCCC @ 280Mhz 8-3-4-3.0-1T or my last year's G.Skill 2GBHZ @ 286MHz 8-3-4-3.0-1T. I have also seen OCZ PC4000 XTC do that as well...

Many people underestimate versatility of Samsung UCCC. I personally, really like it :)

BTW, nice result there as well

Onepagebook: I bow to your wisdom. I have had hard time stabilizing my UCCC (G.Skill HZ) at 270MHz, I tried EVERYTHING (but based on your coloured A64Tweaker) in the Wrong Order, using your pic above I finally made it for a 1M SuperPi run in a stable way.

I'm very thankful and I hope u keep sharing your wisdom with us, coz wisdom itself is nothing if it is not being shared.

Ps. The tRP = 3 also worked marvellously.

Just a question, why the Windows memtest? Surely 12 hours of memtest86+ test 5 would be enough? Nice stuff there. Hopefully my UCCC will be a new batch when I order it.

a simple 32M spi would be sufficient too

OK, you're giving me a good reason to play some more with my Corsair UCCC-s. :)

Nice explanation on the picture :D

:toast:

i cant wait to get some more of these

nice info opb! makes me itching to try mine again...

btw cpuz 1.33 is out :)

I've ordered "OCZ 2x1GB PC4000 EL Gold Dual Channel Kit" with UCCC chips, you guys think these will reach 275mhz+ speeds ?

I think it'll reach 250mhz. Only way to know how high it will go is to overclock them.

Sweet mine passed memtest @ 3-4-3-8 265mhz

Thanks! OPB

You 're very welcome,
Glad to see this works:)

what settings should we change in expert board? (drive/data etc)
nice work OPB :toast:

I have these same chip UCCC, I'll check it out and see how they can do. I just got them yesterday :)

Nice results, I hope mine fair that well!

what bios settings do we have to use in order to use a64 tweaker? everytime i put in these settings my system freezes. Im only running the ram at rated speeds.

change one timing at a time, let us know which one it is that locks up your computer

my DFI RS482 will push them to 284htt 32m spi stable ill post some pics very soon

here is my corsair value select (UCCC based 2.6v):

http://img456.imageshack.us/img456/5...02808jk.th.jpg

Unfortunately my clawhammer fx55 doesn't do much for a better memory performance.

It's completely stable at prime95, memtest, 3d apps and superpi at 270 x 10.

the processor fails prime at 280, not memory. wish it could do 2800.

settings for 270:

Check your BIOS, onle 702-1 worked for me.

Hell yes, just checked my G.Skill's and they're 0603. Booyah, can't wait to test 'em on the weekend. You rock OPB.

ok i have all the parameters set in bios but im getting errors in memtest at ddr540. I just copied all of opb's tweaker settings. Im using the 3/29/06 Bios on a Dfi Venus.

my G.Skill with first 4 S/N 0512, 270 3-4-3-8 no go.

This is Stable(Tested already longer :D)
Attachment 45561

but 275 no go.

DS/DDS is Auto.

any Suggestions?

soon i will be able to see the full results of my 0603's :D

Mine 270Mhz 3-4-3-6 1T 2.6v pass Memtest86+ on Bios more than 8 times :p:
271Mhz no go, 10 errors on Test 5.
272Mhz no go, 40 errors on test 5.

so now i will try it with 2x80mm fans in front
of them :D
Lets hope

yea, i love my UCCC because they require such low voltage for sweet performance. nice to see some regular results and not hand picked ones. they are always so misleading.

Relax it a bit and it should handle even more. How far it goes 3-4-4-8?

what i want to know is how to get it to run 3-3-3-6. im stable @ 290 3-4-4-8.

Time to tweak my ocz sticks some more. right now thier at 275 3-4-4-8 2.6v, at around 277 they start to error, so im hopeing for 280. :D

Is it not normal that my sticks need 2.75~2.8V for a stable 32M run ??? They're GSkill HZ.

UCCC usually likes low volts, around 2.6-2.7.

OPB? what does MEM CLK 2 and MEM CLK 3 do exactly? Just wondering cause mine is enabled by default and yours is disabled.

I love my GSkill UCCC "0603" I am able to get 282 mhz out of them at 3-4-4-8 and 280 X 10 works great with my CPU/RAM at 1:1 :D

This is with NO TWEAKING with A64. Simply stock settings and timings.

GSkill HZ, 0601, 260MHz MAX. later teamgroup I had was good to about 285

mine does around 265 with 2.5v

mem clk 2 and 3 are dimm slots

0 and 1 are yellow slots and 3 and 4 are orange slots

they're disabled to get a slightly better superpi time (assuming you dont have ram in those slots)

barely noticeable though...maybe a couple seconds difference in 32mb superpi

Thnx for sharing your thought OPB....hope to test some UCCC again then
:)

Hello guys, I'm having HARD time stabilizing my Gskill HZ. They are 32M Stable, 2 hours of Prime95 Blend Test stable, [b]but not over 80% in memtest nor in memtest86, (2 errors per loop, sometimes 4).

What could it be? here's a screeny.

Im using 702-1 BIOS, 702-3 did not work for me.

Yup. Actually A64tweaker reads in that way in DFI Expert/Venus, appear disabled by default. In Ultra-D/SLI-D/SLI-DR the four CLKs are enabled.

yeah, my sli-d used to have all four enabled by default...but recently only mem clk 1 is enabled while the other three are disabled!

only thing i can tell that i've changed is the bios, which ive flashed to a recent release (3/29/06)

guess the bios eff'ed things up?
