Um, I don't get it? Whats the point of this? Sounds like sleeze marketing.
lame!
3DMark05... yeah that's my favorite game, I mean you win every time.

I could care less about Futuremark, but there are many here need the epenis tape measure.
Ya, I seen this 2 days ago, I thought it was alittle lame.
Cliffs: Compare cards based on actual street price at a major e-tailer and make sure to use the latest WHQL drivers (which for nvidia would mean drivers from somewhere around the stone age).
I guess presentations like this reveal how moronic the "reviewers" out there are that they need a presentation to understand this.
Well, everybody has a "penis" of some kind... carpenis, moneypenis, politicalpenis....etc.etc... :bravo:Quote:

Yes. "GS part means Goes Slower" :)Quote:

Just checked: X1800GTO 230 euro (nowhere in stock overhere) 7600GT 180 euro and in stock everywere.
sad that techpowerup lends themselves for such a thing.
Dont even understand why Nvidia or ATi would make such slides cause no serious hardware site or partner with actual knowledge would believe promo slides like these.
Wierd tho that these slides usualy come fromt echpowerup and always from the same person.
lol, the last slides from ati and nvidia were bad, but those slides are even worst rofl. i'd recommend ati to fire the marketing department and get some serious employes. embarrassing
BS means Built Slower?
Rofl
But what I liked was...
As of Catalyst 6.5 all cards before x1800gto work in cable free crossfire.
Doesn't TechPowerup make the slides and nvidia and ATI just ackknowledge thet exist?
<yawn> Wake me up when ATi actually gets something on the shelves that doesnt have any major issues, then ill pay attention
I didn't need the slides to agree with that statement, but after viewing...they certainly do back up that mindset even more.Quote:

i have to say it again.
to whom are those slides shown that every once ina w hile pop up at techpowerup.
cause may it be the nvidia or ati ones they are usualy more funny then serious.
every personw ith lil knowledge of the subject can see how much crap those slides are.
so i ask to whom are they shown?
do ATi and Nvidia show these to complete fanboys that go: woohoo. every time they pop in a new slide?
i would think that Nvidia and ATi show a difrent kind of slide to their partners.
slides that show why it is profitable for them to use this new GPU and the possibilitys etc.
not slides that show BS info about the difrence between a nvidia and ati gpu were every personw ith knowledge cna see that it is utter bull.
as im shure that partners deicde internally about their choices and involve people that know what their talking about.
so again for who are them nvidia/ati slides intended that we see every few weeks?
Really guys, there is always a bit of truth behind marketing slides, however hidden it may be.
For example,
X1900XT 512MB *RETAIL* (and Lifetime Warrenty, so you insane warrenty people can be happy)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131005
$445 shipped
---
Now let's look at the 7900GTX 512MB.
Whoops! These are all sold out, along with the 7900GT 256MB!
Well, we really do need to compare them, so let's ignore that and pretend it's in stock.
The cheapest would be the XFX 7900GTX 512MB.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150143
$525 shipped.
The choice is rather obvious, right? Higher performance, more features, and lower price!
---
I haven't read any reviews on the 7600GS, so I found one on google.
http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles...856&cid=3&pg=1
The 7600GS comes between the X1600Pro and X1600XT, depending on the task.
Cheapest 7600GS (Retail): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130004
$145 shipped
Cheapest X1600XT (Retail): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102657
$145 shipped, after $15 rebate
Again, no contest!
where can i find a mutlti-award winning X1900XT? :p:
I posted the link on Newegg.
It's available in many different forms (OEM, retail) and from many different companies.
LOL nice one.Quote:

This is pointless.
Anyways, I'm just wondering:
Those "nVIDIA" & "ATi" slideshows always appear first @ TechPowerUp.
No source validation, etc.
Isn't this a lil' bit concerning ?
If these rediculous slides wern't real, i'm sure we would have heard from ATi or Nvidia by now complaining of TP misrepping them.
That price/availability comparison though was a good/valid point. Obviously nvidia is having problems somewhere with the 7900 series, or just didn't have enough time to produce enough before launch. While either is a large faux-pas, and you know I don't want to bring it back to the forefront, ATi really shouldn't be the one to critisize just yet.
Also worth noting, as you did...the $499 price of the 7900gtx is not dropping, and people are still charging at or above that MSRP price. True, it's only been a couple weeks, but x1900's could be found at or below $500 at launch and still up to now. Newegg is selling multi OEM (everyone's favorite non-fluff way to get their fix) x1900xt's for $440-$450. Heck, you can find an a XTX from almost any company for $490.
You can't expect ATi to not kick Nvidia while they're down, but once 7900gtx supply/demand is reached and nvidia uses the cheapness of their die to lower prices...Expect some slides from Nvidia, and for them to magically appear on TP...and so it will continue until the end of time.
