My first time with this cpu. Just opened system and benchmark@6GHZ for about 2 hours. After, I begin to raise the MHZ and got only those score before my LN2 finished. Cpu can do better than this..

Be carefull with that voltage!

Crotale's CPU is starting to clock worse after using such high vcore for a while. You probably can find info about that in a few threads here @ XS.

But nice overclock anyway :D

Nice chip, If I can offer you a suggestion, I believe that ram should be capable of around 750Mhz @ 3-2-2-4 timing @ 2.3v and would improve your pi score quite a bit. use 1:1 ratio on that board with tightest timing.

My CPU is as strong as the day I got it and I have been beyond that in voltage for very long durations. Im more afraid to put this chip into an Nvidia based mobo.

thank you.. I know, my ram is stable at 780MHZ 3-2-2-4 @ 2.3v .. But I was just learning the cpu.. what it is capable of. This is my first time with this chip.

I run at 6GHZ .. In pcmark2004 Grammer Checking failed, In Pcmark2005 2 things failed in cpu tests. So no cpu score.. I will try again in my new Asus 975 board.

NB : 1.65v .. I didnt use mod .. Board was moded but didnt need it..

It is very good to have some scores to compare.. I got the cpu to 6800MHZ with 1.92v .. About 30 sec it was very stable... At 6700MHZ I got the ss and closed the cpu-z.. Opened the AI Booster to downlock the cpu. Didnt want to push further at first time but couldnt stop myself :) Rised 5 more FSB .. Applied. System didnt hang or reset. I waited it to hang more than 10 sec. It didnt. I opened cpu-z, pushed validation button. Write the name of the file and almost pushed the save button. But reset.

Maybe with P5WD2-E, the chip can go further.. Will try it this week.

Yep, that is his third M/B-- somehow the M/B get difficult to boot after tightening the LN2 Pot on it a several bench sessions..

I am not sure what experience they had in this ES chip in details-- but I guess they were comparing with P4-670, in which they got easily over 7.3G benchable.

I've P5WD2-E too. But didnt mod it yet. Only Vddr2 mod to test. I will have some tests with it next week.

My rams are rev 1.5 ... They are not as good as previous revisions .. But my new DDR2 modules arrived.. I will have some tests next week .. I'll see if corsair 8500ul will rock or not :guitar:
