OS: Windows XP sp2 Tradtional Chinese BIG5,
CPU: AMD A64 X2 4600+ Manchester LDBHE 0540VPMW
HD: Maxtor 100gb Sata single drive
PSU: Silverstone ST60F
VGA: BFG 7900gtx stock heatsink running SLI mode@ 720/880

RAM:...Please note, CPU all set at same speed.

FX60@ 236x14 with upper divider 233, so ram @ 275, cpu full speed@ 3.3g

4600+@ 275x12 1:1, cpu speed @3.3g
then I will do 3d mark comparison, it will clearly tell you if L2 512k is on par with L2 1mb type dual core cpu.;)

Sweet, I heard s7e9h3n discussing this earlier. I'm very excited about this project. In fact I could probably do it on my SS w/ my 4600+ and FX60, but there's a reason you guys are the X.I.P.'s.

Ya, I noticed you could do over 300 on your testing thread, but couldn't remember if you said it was 3D stable or not. Could we get a screenie of #D benchmarks at 300 (or whatever the highest was) at 3-3-2 to compare against 250 at 2-3-2?

Two questions, Kevin:
1. Does the fact that you're testing on Venus make things different? Would your Ultra-D OC these to DDR600 as well?
2. What would be the average you think these would do - excluding your pair? What can be safely considered as "average-joe's" set?

DDR600 3D stable @ 5-2-3-3.0-1T is just insane, If you asked me :up: I wouldn't mind a pair like that If it can be had for that $220...

@ DDR600, is that speed stable enough to do 3D?(on my board) I want 3ghz and 1:1 ratio, wanted to know if it was good enough for gaming/benching/24-7. If anything, you'll be spending some quality time with me when they arrive :lol:

You gotta pay attention man :rolleyes: ;) I specifically requested him to post a 3D stable screenie of 300 3-3-2 and he responded with one :) :D Course, different mobo's are finicky and you can't always expect the same results, and ASUS don't have nearly as many memory tweaking options as DFI's. And also OPB feels he has a "lucky kit" so you can't always expect all kits to get up there.

3. I/A - 252

I need a pair that can run high FSB so that I can max out my 170.

Well, technically, if you use his results, it would be:
1. I/A ~ 302
2. UCCC ~ 300
3. Micron ~ 274

But as mentioned earlier, he feels he got a lucky kit with the I/A so you're probably better off with the fairly guaranteed high clocking UCCC

sorry guys im a little confuded, from the SPD table in the I/A series, it shows 3-4-4-7 default timings, but if this is refering to the inferion series (i think), then tank guys is advertising them as 2.5-4-4-7 default timings.

Is the I/A definatly the inferion bases mem?

Yes, that would be the kit that OPB tested for DDR600 at 3-3-2 :) And again, I give the usual warning that don't expect the exact same results as different configs and different chips yield different results.

For one thing, it's retail (and according to OPB, it's not CE-6, it's Aeneon chips. Sites label it CE-6 for lack of a name) :p:

And another, I have been constantly saying in my posts that different systems, mobos, and kits will have different results. You can't expect to get that high on every single kit. OPB himself considers to have gotten a lucky kit.

Nisco put Dinamic idle ciclic disabled, put drive strenght in weak, idle ciclic limit in 256 and the trc in 8, tref in 200 3.9us.

If he's experiencing the problem only when running 100% load, then it's probably not a timing issue. Stuttering is not uncommon under those conditions. At first I thought it might be timings. But then it suddenly dawned on me that he was running Toast. :stick:

This is one of the signs of Infineon been pushed very close to it's max 3D capabilities. If you go to Display Properties, Screen Saver Tab and look at that thumbnail there - do you see artifacts? Small, colorful dots all over it?
When 3D stops being stable but desktop apps are OK (including P95, SPi32M, etc), very often one can see various forms of screen corruption - depending how high you are. This is one of them plus the artifacts I mentioned, screen going blank for few secs or incomplete wallpaper or desktop in general.
