Yonah...So fast, CM420/430, T2400/2500/2600 pi_test

got some yonah chips
CM420 es

use my laptop for these test.
all settings by deafult.:p:

even celeron-M is faster then Dothan at the same clk :banana:

I was running 29.5 in pi, so you beat me by a little bit.

I see there is memory 1:2 divider? Does it help a lot? I hope there are such dividers on that Aopen yonah board so we can better take advantage of DDR2 :D

just curious, as dothan celeron had it lower than banias or dothan PMs..

awsome results, i have loved intel's mobile cpu's from my banias, and i cant see me picking an amd based laptop over this for uni.

my question is tho, how come dual superpi 1m tests are so slow compaired to one test (sorry, i havnt had dual core before)

cache is shared and so is fsb..

The 1.5Ghz Yonah from the Mini is a SL9

the diffs between CM4x0 and T2x00 is
fsb : 533 vs 667
L2 Cache: 1M vs 2M
Volt: 1.26v vs 0.95v~1.4v

with larger L2 Cache and higher FSB.
T2x00 runs about 3~4sec faster than CM4x0 with the same cpuclk.
and T2x00 has the ability to run multi thread :p:

can you post these cpu-z screens for both cpu (cache) ?

FSB/L2 shared.
CPU has to balance the load.
Besides...I opened cpu-z before running two pi_1m. but after single pi_1m.
that really slower the pi_benching :)
You can take a look at the pic bellow. running two pi_1m before open cpuz :p:

For CM4x0's cache info. you can check in the screenshots I posted above :)
everest ultimate edition told that... L1=32Kb, L2=1MB aslo full speed :)

LF80538 seems to be a Solo chip.
but...1.5Ghz/667/2M seems to be CoreDuo L2300.
and the chip looks more likely to a retail version but no Model No. after .

Thanks for that, but i thought that (from seeing amd dual.c) when you run dual super pi you have to set the seperate affinity so one core is allocated to one super pi, which should give the same results as if you were running single core? (maybe dual core a bit slower because having to run windows too)

Also, what temps are these hitting, under what cooling?

are there any notebooks available which are supported by clockgen for overclocking the Duo Core?

I don't understand why the stock vcore is so high? 1.4V? That's higher than Dothan - you'd expect a little lower given it's 65nm.

I don't know either.
even celeron-M 4x0's volt is lower than CoreDuo's .
but...higher volt.seems brings no heat @.@

i dont see x64, am i being over worried thinking that this wont support windows longhorn, and that this cpu is almost semi redundant?

yap, yonah did't support x64, but...conroe/merom will be ok

sorry, i cant find any info on future timelines of Intels cpu's, is memron going to be a mobile chip and released by september (need laptop before then for uni)
