edit... I see the vcore goes to 1.7v
Huh? It's up to 1.75 depending on CPU. IIRC, it basically works out to stock +.3 between the .2 overvolt and allowing .1 without the overvolt option.Quote:

Available already in the UK...if you get one post benches ASAP.
Im hoping to see a sample soon, the thing you need to look out for in the DDRSkew IC's that have been enhanced, these allow for some real high overclocks at 1T, which is much better than the A8R MVP.
I have a copy of the review but can not post it, the print review option on AT is pretty slick for capturing whole reviews at once ;)
Curses, it's pulled already :(
When is the NDA supposed to end?
there is 1 guy in OcUK forums went down to the store above 2 days ago and bought the board
linky: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...php?t=17535467
They deffo have it in stock but "forced" to change it to "not instock" :D
Found this on anandtech's forums.Quote:

Why was the review pulled? I saw it briefly and catured a pic of it and read the first page but that's it.
NDA i'm assuming.
I read through it about an hour ago. Looks like it will be a VERY nice board. I might pick one up to play with when they come out.
interesting if the price if right :)
Was 143pounds in the Uk so looks to be a $200 board in the US.
I have a feeling these boards may be on sale soon, people have already bought them so any NDA would be useless once benches are up.

No m8 the AT review showed the A8R MVP which is brown and the A8R 32 MVP which is black...asus moved it to deluxe so that brought on the black PCB.
Both boards were showed one of top of the other so you can compare
Oh.. guess i didn't look at the pictures close enough. Thanx Tony!
Yeah I copied the pic. The A8R was shown in brown just above the A8R32 which was black. So ...you should get your wish to have a black board afterall! :woot:Quote:

ooooooooooh is this board meant to be good ? :D
Looks like an Hard launch for RD580 is planned, and I hope boards are there for others too. Crossifre is still weak tho with this Mastercard thing and cable-mess.
Any DFI with RD580 soon? TBH, Asus is out of my horizon since the KT133A chipsets :D
I'm actually kinda skeptic on Asus.. the last one I had was absolute junk for overclocking (A8V Deluxe). I guess we'll see when the time comes, the review looked nice and i plan on going x1900 CF.
Still only 3-phase power.
I'm gonna look out for DFI, twisting my thumbs in hope that they will release a God-like RD580 board.

Already be pulled. Does it overclock better than A8N32-SLi?Quote:

Naturally, I'll read all the reviews I can find.
Im hoping to get a board soon off Asus, there are retail boards already in end users hands so lets see what the forums have to say also.
I have all but the first page of the review (accidentaly erased it) in Firefox's cache, if one of the mods give me the green light i'll upload it tomorrow.
It has 3 phase power....I'll pass as i know what good 4 phase done right can do.
For those interested, i'm hosting the review in a zip archive that will stay online until AT put it back up. Get it here.
Edited for linky's visibility as per Mr_Slinky's request
thanks for hosting....finally get to see what all the fuss is about.........judging from Wes's comments in this thread i'd be staying awayQuote:

Man that review is interesting to say the least, but asus really got under my skin with the original one.
gitsum thats the dfi rd580 board now that should be good
Yeah, maybe it will be available at launch too.
when is the luanch?
March 2nd, I believe.
Thank you very much. The MB looks promising. :)Quote:

It's pulled again now...
found a site that got the goods before it went ploosh down the crapper.

Yes you can. Just do this...Quote:

Oh man, where was my brain? I didn't even think about typing the tags. Well, i think you made it visible enough anyway, i'll leave it as is :DQuote:

All PCIe lanes are from the northbridge like they should be. Also no HT lane reduction. RD580 is clearly the HT overclocking champion. This is ain't no joke of a solution like the green guys' one.

I can't wait to see how RD580 performs with X1900's
I can't go over 300 MHz HTT with this board with an X2 3800. I must have missed something. :)
I'm pretty happy so far though. The games feel "snappier", and 3dmark scores are up.
I just gotta figure out why i can't crawl over 300 MHz.
well, AT said they had to lower the htt multi to 4x just a littlebit over 300..Quote:

I've tried that, but it's a no go. :( Maybe it's my X2 that doesn't like it.Quote:

you may not have the latest bios, im under NDA so i can't give it to you but there is a bios that allows for much higher overclocksQuote:

Thanks for the info. Now i'll just relax a week then. :) I guess AT was using a newer bios as well.Quote:

Primarily as compensation for the fact that Sweden have not won the Eurovision Song Contest since Abba's "Waterloo" took the honours over 30 years ago, so they were due a break.Quote:

It is the bios AT used fo the review
0307... Cool, back to the future with BIOSes!
Now that I think of it: why don't DFI BIOS include the year (in the usual naming it is)? You don't intend to release new bios for the SLI-DR/Ultra-D on 2006?
Hi,
I am having a few graphics issues with this board, when plying far cry as the computer warms up, the graphics go black and white and fuzzy, eventually I get the old blu-screen and a reset. I'm not the first person to have this problem, I'm pretty sure the 1900's are ok.......
Raja
On sale @ Newegg. I won't be buying this due to the low Vcore & Vdimm options.
at first i was excited...
but now after seeing it's results compared to the A8R-MVP (the A8R32 is only 1-2 fps faster in most games).
it's just not worth it for its price
Asus fixed a lot of bugs that are on the normal A8R.Quote:
