I'm wondering if I shall buy a cpu with this stepping, but I would like to know if anyone here had some experiences with a similar chip under phase change:)

Coldbug @ 0c:mad:
any cpu with a stepping like xxB1x, xxB2x, or xxB3x have awful cold bugs... but normally are great clockers with air/water
Ok :(
And its not helping to change drive strengths?
not really
but its a week 47 SD, put it on water :)
I'm going to use my phase change what_so_ever:p:
I'll come back later with some other steppings for you :toast:
no need to come back just find a LDBHE 3700+ sandy and you'll be fine........Quote:

thats gonna be a while. However i already tested it some time ago. Its a dog on air only 2.5 at stock volts 2.7 @ 1.5v however on phase it really shines. Had it up to 3.3 just playing aroung before i popped the x2 in.
The D in LDBHE is supposed to mean 512kb cache dual core..Quote:

guess amd had a NEW YEARS party and got drunk I bought it before they were available to the public. Maybe it got stamped wrong.
Can you post your CPU microcode?
I betting on CABHE.
CABHE sounds better, i think i recall a CABHE 0518 WPMW
that's really weird... never saw any 1mb processor with the BH revision memcontroller...
the early San diegos had them. I've seen a CABHE 0505 and 0515 and absolute recalls a 0518. For sure they exist.
When we are talking about this, are the newer ones better? Thinking of those which are 0550 ->
The early early ones between 0502(i think i've seen this) and 0515 were very good (most were CABHE and samples). After that they got a bit worse, and then they started to get alot worse(CABGE). Some didnt break 2.6-2.7ghz(3700+). But as soon as the KAB2E stepping was out, the average results improved.Quote:

What do you think about this stepping? CABGE 0524XPMW
Is it good? coldbug?
All CABGEs I've seen have the cold bug.Quote:

Yes. ;)Quote:

Thx steven I woulda hated to have to pull my TTBT off just to prove that mine was indeed LDBHE. Now they have proof that BH on sandy does exist.Quote:

Yours more than likely IS a CABHE or I guess it could be LABHE (which would be the first I've seen) or a AABHE. Yes the BH controller exists on a Sandy, but just not with D as the second letter.....It would be interesting though, if yours was REALY a LDBHE....I'm curious now ;)Quote:

Which one is best?
Should I take a X2 4200+, guaranted -44c@evap and 3ghz instead?
I'm really sorry for this bump, but I need answers tonight.
