very nice score kinc is the card cold bugged at all?

found one without cold bug(-105*C evap temp was ok) , but it died, and the one below is seriously cold bugged :( ~ -55*C on GPU was the max it could take

Sweet man! :) This card can take more cold. I know it can do atleast 918MHz through 05.

We need to find a way to get the vga memory up a bit. It is really critical for the performence.

yep mems doesnt seem to clock that much on these x1900xtx's :(
their is another 'weird' phenomenon on this card, 886Mhz on GPU seemed faster than 891Mhz and equal fast as 895Mhz... tested on 3dmark01/nature

I've expericed that too. But it seems random, some rounds may be better in gt3 then the other at the same speeds. Pretty strange.

just to add something else, RD480 is flat out slow. Jason compared it to an nf4 single card and nf4 was quite a bit faster.

I don't understand. ATI could probably produce XTX CF cards, even very limited quantities and very expensive, people WILL buy them just for the sake of a WR...

Its tough not to fall into the benching trap. I added an XT to my cart many times only to close the browser at the very last minute. Its so tempting yet I don't play games any more intensive than Starcraft (best classic game ever).

Well just remember it was done with the help of a cooling system only usable for short term benching :) I have a feeling it will be 6 or so months before we see a single card able to hit 16k on standard forms of cooling.

Gratz on the 16k kinc, that card is an absolute monster!!!

Are you making sure to restart before you run 3dmark again, for some reason if you don't restart your scores seem to go down.

Kinc those are incredible scores im impressed. great job :toast:

This is in normal ambient temp with stock coolers. Open window got me 740/880 on cards :) Memory only at 241MHz with T2 cmd rate (3.2V). Using a vcore modded ASUS A8R-MVP.

About 20C inside when I did this run. I remember when I did 17k all aircooled on GTX512 SLI, that took much more effeort compared to this.

Yeah it is. Its just that the memory maxes out at ~245MHz on this board. This was the best ratio between mem and cpu clock I could have, memory performence is really important for the score in GT1. 234x15 resulted in a few points worse score then 245x14, new board will run this memorys at ~275MHz with tighter timings, should be a healthy boost in performence. The vcore was also droping alot wich gave me some problems above 3512MHz. A really nice board for the buck though :) New board here now (still rd480). New one should be here pretty soon ;)

My scores aren't going anywhere near 20k, with these cards without faster cpu clocks. Perk is right on about having limits...there is only so much possible.

Well done so far Kinc and awsome benching :toast:. I know you will show us what these cards in Xfire are capable of Marcus.

In truth I've just been amazed that you have been the sole force behind giving Nvidia the 3dmark lead for so long after the faster ATI cards came out...the fact that the GTXs have fended off the X19 cf, even after all single card gtx512 wr's have fallen, is remarkable :up:
