2x1gb Crucial Ballistix 3-3-3-8 32m 311fsb, WR?
-
-
-
Congratz, pal!
Let's see if you can improve this ;)
-
What are your actual vdimm values for bios and measured with a DMM?
-
Thanks Pol & Fixxxer :D
I use the official 623-3 bios, the vdimm value on bios was 2,8+ (don´t have a DMM)
-
Awesome sticks, man! :toast: Hopefully they will go against the trend of dying over time...
Also, great job documenting your OC

I would think not more than 2.86v or 2.90v at the most... If his mobo overvolts as much as many other NF4 Ultra/SLi...

Congratzzz
"Chico malo":slapass:
Regards and kisses in the nipples! ;)

Can you test them on 3d stability?
-
Nice man! You didn't do what i told you about using 9x... :p: :D
c ya :toast:
-
Congratulations... It's a shame my X2 doesn't like anything more than 307 FSB. :(
-

I´ll try this weekend. My daily config (300x10) doesn´t give me errors so i supose it will be not a problem ;)
Also i´m gonna try how far i can go with low timmings, 2,5-2-2-5 for example.
Edit: Forgot to post a couple of shots of Sandra & Everest i´ve taken

Unfortunatly where ballistix are concerned that doesnt actually mean anything, my last set passed prime95, memtest+, memtest for windows, superpi with no problems @ 300 3-3-3-8....games and 3D crashed within 5-10mins, and there are loads of people with exactly the same problems. Wierd memory, got rid of mine in the end because they p###ed me off so much.
Congratulations on results so far though, I hope they work out for you. :toast:
-
Just curious, what is the batch and pn number on those?

When i said it doesn´t give me errors i meant gaming too ;) (at least by now)
MikalCarbine, Batch number is CL1115Z.1Q and the PN 56278.

Let's hope they live long n strong ;)

Felicitaciones Cordovader y CST
realmente insano su OC.
Saludos
-
Grats!
My sticks passed 285 on a daily basis - BF2, 3Dmark0X, SuperPI, OCCT, etc etc. Then 5 months after i got em (Oct 5th) they died over the course of a day and then couldnt even do 200mhz without failing Memtest....
This was at 2,8V with plenty cooling.
-
-
Wow, those are some amazing sticks, how far can you push them 2.5-3-2? 250 the max?
-
Not tried yet with more voltage, for 2,83v this is the max (32m estable).
-
Saludos

Hey cordovader, this is winters. I've seen you round noticias3d.com. Hey, get the PC3200 Crucial Ballistix from Alternate for 129€, they are the ones I have now at 270Mhz and 2.93v, at 2.5-3-3-7. They are great for their price.
Winters....... :slap: :slapass:

Congratz again cordavader!
I see you keep improving! :D
-
Thanks for the tip winters but i´m not longer interested in 1gb kits (if they´re not BH5 that can do more than 270 stable :D)
& as Unrealer and Pol told you, speak in english mate ;)
-
Sorry very much (for no write in english), :( i think Cordovader that can do 300 mhz with 3-4-4-10 i see in a recent Review: http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2226&p=9
http://eclipseoc.com/index.php?id=1,37,0,0,1,0
And with low voltage......

that's just amazing [CST]
-
Nice sticks and overclock !!
-
Have you tried them in your expert? With mine in dual channel I can't get them stable. I've crashed more times in the past three days then I have ever on my DR.
-
-
really good RMA job !.....great ram and great clock...
-
Very good sticks but you have to be careful about the voltage, because these sticks degrade very quickly over time and give errors even at stock settings. A couple of my friends had this problem when they use it with only 2.8 volts for everyday use

My daily config is 300x10 3-3-3-8 2,74v, i only increase the voltage when i do something more "extreme" :D
bestmancajun, my expert is giving me problems lately with all kind of memos so i have to upgrade the bios to see if problems disappear or persist. If the board is ok i´ll try the ballistix on it to see if i can improve the result or not.
Thanks all you guys ;)
-
congratz cordovader!!!
i am new here and i am español xD eres un makina del oc por lo que se somos bastantes aki ^^^^
Congratulations
-
Nice O.C Cordovader, one question whats the max voltage for MICRON 5B-G actually mine is 2,80 V in DFI bios but the real is 2,93 V; with +0.03 V IF NO 3,2 V = enable, my best results 280 mhz 2,5-3-3-7 with Ballistix PC3200, no more with 3-3-3-8  But daily use is 250 mhz with 2,5-2-2-5
-
depends on how cold you keep it. i've kept my 5b G at 3.1v for a while before with no obvious ill effects.
-
I have been using my Crucial Ballistix for a good few weeks now, rock solid @ 285MHz 2.8V.
These are my returned sticks (from RMA) and are the 16TH1 revisions.
Will be putting even more active cooling over them soon all going well and will really push them hard once I get some time. :)
Anyone else got results with the 16TH1's?
For comparison, mine are:
Batch CL1116D.7P
Part 63240

erm.. .16TH1? care to show a pic? i've only heard of .16TD and .16TD1.. for it to be .16TH1, that means you have 5b H chips
-
Well, after reading this, temptation took over and I called my Crucial rep and low and behold, they have some new (very limited) stock of The Z503 sets, but only if you call, and most likely only stocked to handle the rma's primarily. Hmm, so I ordered a new set under a reseller account for $237.90 shipped. If they are even remotely as good as the ones in this thread, then it will be worth it. :)
-
Cordovader please flash the latest beta bios:fact: and take the WR back:toast:

My Crucials are priming nou @ 300mhz 3-3-3-8 before i only could get it 32m stabile. :woot:

I believe that is a CPU limit not board..

2.5-2-2 is better than 2-3-2 or 2-2-3 even ;)

well, claws are known to suck.. hahaha. i have one that won't even let me go over 230mhz with 2 dual rank sticks in :stick:
(though it can run one dual rank and two single ranks at 200mhz, 1T  )

I change the last DFI oficial bios to 623-3, VOILA now I can reach 290 with my Crucial Ballistix PC3200 with 3-4-4-8  with 2,93 V

Wait, did you switch from or to 623-3?
-
-
Got a new z503 set from Crucial today marked CL1116D.7M
part# 63240. I wish I knew what was under those spreaders.
They seem pretty good so far. Tried 290 first at 3-3-3-1T without breaking a sweat.
-
Mines do 300 but with errors in TEST Nº 8 in Memtest 86 v_1,65 what errors its related to this test ? I have a Venice 3200 Revision DH-E6...
-
As far as I know it has to do with voltage. For me, I've gotten errors in #8 cause I had too much volts going through my sticks <shrugs>
-
What you mean, need more voltage to eliminate errors on test 8 or need less ?
-

if he got errors from "too much volts", i think reducing the voltage helped :toast:

Congrats Cordovador.
Just ordered one X2 3800+ 0606APMW at http://www.trend4pc.de/product_info.php/products_id/633
I will post if the Chip is in my PC. But only Dualprimescreens 24.24 Custom FFTs in place. So far good luck.
And heres a List of the available Steppings.

Grat results Cordo ;)
I was looking for a ballistix set of 2gb, but i'm quite afraid of the "instant dead", i'm not sure of what ram to buy, and probably i'll look for a HZ pair
What BIOS are you using at last???
I've seen in the DFI page an upgrade for the SLI-D (my board) dated at 6/april/2006 only 3 weeks ago, have you tested it???
salu2.

The new ballistix at Crucial seem to have been reworked not to have the death bug. As far as the bios, I have the April bios on a sli-dr with the crucial running at 285 1-1 at least.
