x1900xtx in my hand

Truly yes.Card is identical like x1800xt,but when i mount waterblock,i need to resolder one conensator from top too botom.Card run colder then x1800xt about 3-4 degrees.I make a few quick run on default,a lot programs run in background.this is a 06 run on default http://img469.imageshack.us/my.php?image=3d069oi.jpg

Dude, you are lucky. Are those 05 runs stock gpu clocks? Those are insane scores lol.

About your score going down on your second 05 run, just make sure you re-boot and then run 3dmark05. If you dont your score will be lower the 2nd time you run the bench within the same bootup.

Sounds like you should visit another part of the forum. No offense intended, but if you truly believe that then overclocking isnt for you.

Its not a "never ending war for nothing" .... as you stated. Without direct competition there is no need for innovation, not to mention that the competition between these 2 directly affects price point for the higher end cards. You better believe that due to the launch of the X1900 series we will see prices start to drop for the 512 GTXs, not to mention a possible step up in time frame for 7900 release.

right now i think all thats available in the US is the EQS Ak1 mvp, the asus A8R-mvp and the DFI RDX200. The sapphire pure crossfire advantage can be had off ebay, bigfootcompuers.com(canada but ships us iirc) and here afaik.

Im personaly going to pick up a Sapphire grouper and a single XTX untill RD580 comes out.

no, but Sapphire's at least have always been exactly the same as the BBATi stuff. I would completely expect all XTX's to have 1.1ns goodness, IMO.

Someone posted that the XT card has BJ11 = 1.1ns and it's samsung week 548 which is same as XTX :)

Just for reference the x1800xt has BJ12 1.2ns samsung week 543 :)

I dont think youd see a difference unless copying gigabytes of info from a usb hard drive...........I personally dont see a difference.

thats the trick isolate the heat to the memory :) etc water block on gpu or a customized axp heatsink with ramsinks and 1.996 volts to ram :banana: lower volts to ram higher volts to gpu

Well, the only games I've found lacking with my SLI GTX256 setup are F.E.A.R. and COD2. Q4 and BF2 run quick enough already. So it seems a single x1900xt would be the way to go for now. Xfire wouldn't be necessary then.

Is the XTX worth the $75-100 more than the XT for a small bump in core/mem speeds and the 1.1 memory?

I'm afraid not. You could try to see if it works, but the bottleneck would be too much for it to produce any substantial gain vs X1800 CF results.
