Hi guyz, i wanna make you partecipate to the working of my solid copper container;) let's start quickly with some images that my lather has sent me via email:slap:

the container is not finished, these are only images taken during the working from the lather,i hope he will finish it today so i can post other images, specially the base is gonna be hardly worked;)
Its very long, and 1cm walls are very thick... i hope it will cool right!
but its nice :)
this evening i hope to recive other new photos from my lather
i hope to make many test on how it works;)

i will make the lather do an alluminium or strong plastic holddown that push like an arc the container,like a sandwich,very simple plate on the retromobo and a little bar on the container you'll see it soon
however as you can see from the photos for now the container is only been drilled 20cm deep,becose i'm thinking about how to work the base... i wanna a lot of surface area on the core

in my opinion the last one,the cross seems to be most balanced in the mass/surface, any suggestion?

my lather has purposed me a design(i've not autocad so i asked him to make simply a design),but i want mass directly on the core,on the center where is supposed to have the heat diffusion peak,however here it is

That 4-hole internal, familiar to brazed "iron cross" bottoms as i call them conducts heat nicely from centre to pipe and increase surface area close to core so i would also go with that ;)
Thats going to be one effective container.
damn the fact is that that ''iron cross'' will work good with ln2 but in this case not so good with dice becouse the holes diameter is very poor probably around 1,5cm...probably is better to reduce to 2 holes so 1 internal wall, or a central pole
Looks good so far man! Can't wait to see some numbers. What kinda rig do you plan on using with this?
If the working area was really 50mm diameter as in picture instead of 40mm (which is the real working area so far) you could get hole diameter larger for di by using three ~22mm holes and perhaps also add three ~10mm holes to that blank area. It would look cool too ;). But if you decide to leave thick walls there i would propably go with central pole then.
i don't know...an fx57/60 to use it also under |ricky|'s cascade and some 3d or a pentium670/955xe to use the ln2 cooling to the max...i've to decide well..Quote:

as you can see
the plate is in pure alluminium and measures in millimeters 100 x 100 x 12
the bar is in steel inox and measures in mm 150 x 15 x 5
what do ya think about?;)
its kind a universal and comfortable hold-down

How thick are the walls till the first stair. 1cm? (looks a bit thick!) but hey.. succes

however first the walls are 5mm thick than after a depth of 10cm they become 1cm thick;)
