Not on this mobo. I picked up a new P5N32 since it had 8phase power and someone returned it and Fry's did not put a sticker on it. There was bent pins in the socket and it will be going back tomorrow.

System trip power at 6.3Ghz, I am sure the chip will go higher once I get colder. Just need to make sure leak is fixed and recharge with R116

I am stoked to see Intels Dual Cores finally doing nicely for overclocking.
these are even better then single core P4's from what I seen in the past... except for the usual Mhz records of course, but for day to day stuff, and suprisingly... in 3dmark too, these things look like they will finally put Intel back on the map, as far as 3dmark goes.

I really do have my fingers crossed on this one...I won't have the cash to build a new "all out" rig for awhile, so by the time I can, Yonah and AM2 should be widely available...and all this fancy new tech will be ripe for the pickin'. :D

Honestly, I think the mobo was limiting the chip in this case. My calculation turns (granted voltage reading on software read out was correct) this cpu at condition Fugger was running... VERY HIGH wattage output. I don't know too many mobo that can pass through 200W of electricity comfortably really as well as some boot issues relating to temperature...
Maybe 6.3-6.5ghz bench with daul core is not too far:)

Heheheh I know the feeling with Ricky's cascade and those dam valve are really chilly, almost froze my intire arm :D

@ Charles : C'mon man get a 7800GTX 512MB freeze it and will get the 1st place on 3dmark 2001 for Intel HT DC - that will be an amazing achivement :)

Wish I can get one of those 955XE's to froze it on the cascades, these new 0.65n cpus really start to impressed and no sign of the dam cold bug :)

2GB LL kit from Mushkin can do 400FSB at tightest timing booting into windows no problem. I can see under the heat spreaders it is not D9 fat body.

I will be running X1800XT Crossfire this time and hope to take down #1 spot in 3Dmark. I currently sit in 6th place with the vapochill and video cards on air.

Get the throne back FUGGER and use the power from Intel ;)

I was able to push the 955x chipset to 6.2Ghz for Pi and with the 975x I cannot get 5.8Ghz stable on cascade.

I am able to adjust temp quite a bit to fire up ~ -70c and lay on the cold by turning a valve and reach max temp in a few seconds. Hit or miss if I can restart @ -100c.

Now that I am using two video cards I will start using multiple power supplies. The added card might have reduced my oc due to lack of power.

Dual PSU is essential with dual core + dual video cards. Keep the system on it's own PSU. I use an enermax liberty 500 watt for just my motherboard. Hook all your fans and hdd to the video card PSU. Your OC will fly with dedicated mobo power ;)

oh yeah, I would love too see the CPU score on a 955XE, 4 logical threads, 06 can take advantage of 3 IIRC.

how can you do this???

You can jump start a PSU by wiring the green start wire on the 24 pin to a black ground on the 24 pin and flicking the PSU power switch to on will power it up. I hot glued the wire in to make sure it doesn't fall out. Hook the second PSU to your gfx and fans then power it on before powering your system on. It can kill cards like x800s that don't manage their own power though.

Actually I already tried that, it was a little better but not much. You ran LOD +3 right?

+5 no AI

I go into ATT and make sure all settings are set for performance under 3D settings and I make sure AI is turned off.

I open Winclk and crank up the fans and adjust the 3Dspeed of the master card.

I will test nature and see if I break 600fps at start. if it is sub 600 I will open CCC to tell it to accept new settings. I rerun Nature it will be 600+

As a life long intel user, its nice to seem them getting some respect in the fast world of AMD, FXs and 64 bitting.

I'll second that, very nice to see indeed...can't wait to see i975 and the 9xx chips come of age, and conroe...so much going on, exciting times for Intel. Definitely got me wanting to switch back next time I can build a system.

Fugger, ROCK ON! Tho not much of Intel's fan (mainly boz of whole system upgrade with new every CPU), your results are simply superb. Hope that new PSU helps clocks a lot.

Have you tried any more on the P5WD2-E? I have the 955XE @ 6.2GHZ for 3DMark06 - but have to run really low FSB ( below ~ 280) or I lock up :confused: I think it's the 975X chipset - seems i ran into similar problem with the gigabyte board.

Sounds eerily similar to a cold-bugged AMD...in its case its the mem controller...here the equivalent would indeed be the chipset. Sounds reasonable to me.

yeah - scratching my head to figure that one out...but CPU score comparo to Kingpin's FX60 looks great with only 255FSB and stock X1900XTs :D
