nobody?
are the new ones E4 or E6
The new ones are E4 and I believe the 3200+ I bought for my dads boss has an X2 stepping...
Tell him to buy my 3200+ (well if the current buyer back out) :p: :
0521 DPMW

0521DPMWs are great, but i wouldn't group them under "recent" venices. I am curious as to how recent venices OC myself. Seems everybody has been getting Opties instead so i have no idea how vennies are doing.
damn! E3 is good. gonna get 1
sig , 0521DPMW
s7e9h3n was implying that his is forsale. I was going to trade my Opty for it, but I kinda like this 3ghz 0540FPBW better :D Sorry steven :sofa:Quote:

And with Enjoy here, there's a couple 0521DPMWs to choose from. lol, they're good, low voltage CPUs. But jeeze, what week are we on, 0546 or something... and i DO remember when 0521 was the new kid.Quote:

0542EPBW
But I can't find any oc-results @ internet
does someone tested this stepping yet ? :p:
Something tells me that supplies of newer steppings are coming through only slowly. Local shop out of s939. Had a 3200+ ordered elsewhere, out of stock, asked 3000+, out of stock, getting a 3500+ presumably E3.
in belgium (where i live), the 3000+ cpu's are hard to find, but the other one's (higher rating) are easy/easier to get :)Quote:

I'm hoping this 3200+ LBBWE 0544BPAW is part of a legendary batch. Kinda doubt it tho. :/
it dependsQuote:

no epbw is the stepping, its just luck that it has BW in it also. you need the first (top) line on the processor to know what version it is.
mail send to my vendor ;)Quote:

I saw a negative post about the E6 ones..
but i saw people hitting the 2.8ghz with a E6 :s
what's the 'right' conclusion ?
im planning to get an E3 stepping
tell me why ;)Quote:

imo E4 is the best, but i could be wrong
CG is E4, my dads boss has a new CG 3200+ that is an "N" chip, not the common "T"'s :)Quote:

So where are we getting at? I think I'm on for a 3000+ Venice if I can get hold of one, but its hard to find a clear answer of what stepping to aim at.
The cpu I've been talking about will most likely run its life at stock speeds.. not a single mhz over stock. :(Quote:

I think i'm going to buy an opteron 144 cpu..
opteron 144 costs 166€
venice 3000+ costs 159€..
both boxed...
opteron = E4
is it a good idea ?
i'm bidding on 2 mobo's..
Asus A8V-deluxe (in fact, it is already bought :p)
and
MSI Neo 2 Platinum + Wifi
when I add new thermal paste under the NB of that asus, would it reach 300mhz htt ? (people said it maxed out at 270-280mhz, but i dont know whether they used the stock thermal paste, or new one...)
update :
opteron 144 ordered..
someone who bought a few days ago the same 144, in the same shop posted his results :
Quote:
Opteron 144 CAB2E 0545CPAW
2.8Ghz op 1.525v prime stable on air
2.9Ghz op 1.525v benchable on air with window open.
3.0Ghz blue screen after 0.30sec
29.578s Pi @ 2.9Ghz
and here he is :
