This costs about as much as a 4800+

If not more.....

.....but this is still the first 2.8GHz stock voltage, normal cooling X2 I've seen! :slobber:

the Opteron 180 cost about $900 :stick: I probably could swing it if the price drop down to $700...but if it can do 3.0Ghz @1.5v dual prime stable on air I would consider getting one

wonder if those new capacitors on the motherboard are letting you get better OCs with less volts :)

I use New CPU-Z 1.31

It still can't show correct information.

But MB is DFI NF4 BIOS 510. So it can know that is S939.

Everybody wants to know the stepping.

Any updates with this processor? I was looking for at least 3.0GHz 100% stable out of a proc like that. I just bought one from Newegg but I won't be getting it till probably Monday.

I don't know what this means, but maybe we can understand something by removing the IHS of the Dual Core Opteron.
Could someone remove it?

rufus ur stepping is similar to my X2 I have ccbwe 0528mpmw she does 2.5 at 1.35 im curious to see how urs scales being its opty and all, im sure ur gonna fly with it, keep us posted on results.
