woah PC4800FF just dropped in value if all GBFX can do that ??? what week TCCD ?
:D:d:D:D
Ahh, your killing me. I just ordered 1GBLE thru Newegg tonite.
Pretty impressive results though. How much?
hmmm all ram always oc to good with you opb.
Nice to see new DDR ram, how high can it go 2-2-2-5??
How am I suppose to get those in my motherboard if they barely fit into that stadium?
lolQuote:

Anyword on how many of these modules will do 300 2.5-3-3-x, OPB?

Gotcha ;)
Any word on estimated price yet? These could be THE entry level stuff to get if the price is right :D
VM: I think it's safe to say that all manus are working on getting the most out of 2x1024 kits ;) UCCC *can* do 3-3-3 up at VERY high speeds, but they're rare and 5B -D can do 3-3-3 upto about 310 max and 2.5-2-2 up to like 220 typically....unfortunately no 2x1024 can do what BH or TCCD can do (at least not in the DDR1 realm :D), yet.

WOW, this ram rockz o_0
How far it can go with 2.8-2.9V?
i know that vapor, but gskill says they are also "compatible" with intel chipsets, so i just wordered.
It's compatible but it won't thrive.
How much can i expect, right now im running geil ultra platinum with hynix d5 chips that can do about 260 2.5-4-4-x on a p4p800-e and a dothan 740. Will tccd be better, or should i keep these sticks?
nice!

Sure this is very nice ram for people who cannot overclock so well.
Very cheap DDR600 ram :D
Mine are doing great too, 300Mhz 2.5-3-3-7 2.82v only 4M stable for now, will test later.
What are your drive/data strengths OPB?

thank god prices are falling ;)
FC or FX good ?Quote:

wow
these are super tempting considering it's price
151 @ the egg
wow nice timing... can't wait my FX..
hey
your one of the g-skills people i asume right? i just bought two packs of this FX series and got to looking at the memory. i noticed that the heat spreaders arent making contact with the chips just a small thin section of tape is used on the outer edge of the chips to hold the heat spreaders on. these heat spreaders are then ment to work or for looks? not sure how the chips can cool if they dont make contact with the heat spreaders. i want to take them off but dont want to kill me warrenty... have you noticed what im talking about? can you take a look at your pair and look for what im talking about? would be intersting to see what you say about this...
thx perc,
i think its some kind of thermal tape. and mine is making quite good contact
865PE,nice ram man!!!
[off topic]Which is your max 1:1 with this San Diego?Cause i think that 1.58v doesn't need for 300*9
Squeeze the ram. :stick:Quote:

I'm just asking cuz I can't make up y mind between buying a new set of the FX or getting a used set of 1GB LE's... Tough tough choice
I have this ram and so far I couldn't even get it to DDR490 without setting timing at 3-4-4-8 Epox 9NPA+ Ultra.
I must be doing something wrong.
Mb?
It's on the list of reccomended mobo's for the FX modules.Quote:

What I've done tonight is printed out screen shots from this thread and the other one. I'm going to mirror the settings for the ram from these test threads on mine and see if that makes a difference starting at DDR440
See in my mobo I've been adjusting only the 4 settings I knew the standard CL -TRCD-TRP-TRAS And leaving the rest of them set on auto as I frankly don't know what most of them do.
well I seem to have come to a wall at 300HTT on my system with this ram. I was hoping for atleast 312HTT so that I could do 312*9.
anyone help?? I can only put 2.6v +.03V to my rams...... any higher it errors bad and any lower can't get stable. I am interested in any/all tips, tricks, or hints ;)
thanks
my FX is on the way. i'd be happy if it could do 300@2.5-3-3 :)
did everyone just happen to abandon this thread or whut?
what's the max recommended TCCD voltage ?
I've bought a new gig oc OCZ 4800EE and I won't kill this memory. It's actively cooled, haven't used more than 2.72v @ superpi, will run them @ 300fsb 2.5-4-3-7 2.6v
well just ordered the 2x512 fx kit.... will report when i'm done testin' 'em ;)
hmmm....on th expert mobo i couldn't put it @ 300htt without a zillion of memtest errors. Will try on ulral-d later then
remember, gotta burn 'em in though ( on my utt/ch-5 took me almost a month to get 1.5-2-2-8stable as opposed to 2.5-3-2-9 stable)
same thing in this review ... funny you should mention thatQuote:

Can't find this stuff anywhere
have to buy it "USED".
mine can hit 300 @ 2.5-4-3-5, 2.72vdimm on DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLI-DR eXpert... :)
@I found nemo : burn-in tccd ? is this possible like utt ch5/bh5 ?
mine can do 290 2.5-3-3-7 1T 2.72v easily(with ultra-d first try was 275), dont try higher yet(I will test it later with expert),
now still searching with geil one-s 309 2.5-4-3-7 1T 2.77v(wont do 2.5-3-3-7, geil tccd 524)
Why is the initial post blanked out?
Cause OPB moved to the competition :)
Anyway, the FX series is out of production, i don't think this is so important anymore.
Well, competition or not, since the post was made before he defected, I don't see how that invalides his previous findings.
I think XS should maybe be above corporate identity battles in clear cases like these.
I agree, I hope that competition not make confusing XS member:toast:Quote:

How does those sticks compare to mine?
but I think gskill gbfx still the best for price/performanceQuote:

What was the OP's result? I don't see it.
Anyhow, if you haven't gotten your hands on a pair of TCCD, this is the right time since all the manufacturers are trying to dump DDR DIMMs. I myself got a pair of OCZ PC4200 sticks and they do 300MHz @2.5-3-3-6, and past that 2.5-4-3-7. (didn't test how far it'd go) All this at 2.70~2.75V.
Here are a couple screenshots for your viewing pleasure. It was my first TCCD kit and the things clock like there is no tomorrow, so I thought all TCCDs are like that. Mind you, but the clock itself won't make up for timing-loving K8 CPUs. (sure there is a turning point)
Here are OCZ PC4200 Platinum 1G (512MB x 2) which I just picked up for ~$120 after MIR.
DDR620 @2.5-4-3-7

DDR600 @2.5-3-3-6

And for comparison's sake, this shot is from OCZ PC3200 Titanium 1G x 2
DDR500 @2.5-3-2-6
http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/2181/ddr5008bu.th.jpg
The thing is, those TCCD sticks were much easier to deal with. Like I said, all DDR makers are trying to dump their inventory right now so if you've been thinking of them, this is the right time. And until Conroe arrives, do you honestly think DDR2 533/667/800 can make up for the speed shown above? I've seen some reviews here and there (about AM2), but they're comparing DDR400 (2-2-2-5, yeah big deal) with DDR2 800. Don't they know most people already running DDR500~600 speed in their rigs? Why do they turn blind on reality?
Sure DDR2 800 might be comparable to DDR400, but the truth is, nobody runs DDR400 this day and night.
Sorry about off-topic. Dunno how it went that way.. :slapass:
