Dont you think that only one little opening in the copper ring gives a lot of flow resistance?

We have to test for best flow.
If the opening has twice the area of the inner rings then it shouldnt affect flow much save for turbulence.
I've made two almost identical to it, they work well, although most of the heat is transfered in the first ring so having that roughened and with as much surface area as possible should work better :)

looks ok. Just like a chilly1 block, cept yours is not threaded.
I dunno about that rubber o-ring. Rubber can get brittle. They make orings like that out of silicon though.

The insulation around the evap shown on the pics is 13mm thick. We will use 19mm thick insulation but it did not arrive yet.
I'll post a comparison between a Vapochill LS with stock evap and one with our evap the next days.

The evaporater itself is made out of copper. The white ring around the evaporator is PTFE and the holddownplate is PVC
PTFE = nylon???
good looking evap bro,btw for thoes that dont know vapochill LS evap = baker evap with big open top chamber,the liqued evap's on the outside of the block kinda killing load temp's but they tryed to make up for it with a uber thin base..work's okish but this evap should be rock solid :)

The ring is made out of rubber but we are looking for a better material
the evap is 42mm in diameter at the bottom and its 30mm tall

i put the captube out of the suctionline. this way it is more easy to assamble to the evap. the vapo is beeing evacuated right now and i hope i can test it with new evap today/tomorrow. not much time for testing the last few days :(
