OPTERON 146 @ 3527MHZ dry ice cooled

http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=41124
CPUZ valid 3527mhz pi 1m stable :D

My 38.4k 3d01 run can't be published due to that stupid speed error thing and my 32m run at 3.4ghz pic is missing as well... Quite depressing :( I also knocked my x800pro's vgpu mod off TWICE while setting up.

Very good looking results there AFI!

Keep it up and push for 3.6GHz ;) A fan over the PWM area might help some.

Nice, well done afireinside

Do you also have a SuicideShot ;)

I don't SS...

I'm trying to get my GPU unit on my x800 but NOOOOO I have this stupid epoxied headsink there and it won't come off :(

Nvm it came off, mounting tube for next run.

nice work AFI, i'm envious. my opteron LOVES cold, but i haven't got anything around to reallt satisfy it :(

i'm <3'ing that 3rd picture. could i ask for a full sized version for my desktop? :toast:

Vapor

Can't wait for some more 3D AFI....I can't wait till I can try my hand at DI, too ;)

My Opty is overheating like crazy under water, so I'm sure it would like a Mousepot.

afireinside

unfortunatly, that IS the full sized version :( I don't have my own camera so I have to use my moms which has like an 8 meg card which means no big pics... sorry.

Just noticed this, but is there any reason you're using the second 16x PCIe slot?

Wouldn't the first one be at least a few points faster since you can have the full 16 lanes?
10-01-2005, 03:53 PM
afireinside

I'm running SLI so its 4x or 8x which is fast enough... First slot my mounting hardware will hit CPU tube and the SB fan will grind on the card.

LOL that's :banana::banana::banana:ing great...can't wait for one of those!!! got to have one right now!

i just noticed what vapor said about the PWMIC.. GET A FAN ON IT NOW! i dunno how much it'll help, but it's worth a shot :D

LOL, everyone asks me that ;)

It was pretty good (...not) plus im permanantly banned from the WAMPs areas :(, my own fault though (...not, stupid n00bs - they deserve to be flamed :p: *JOKE*)

Going for #1 ;) I'd say 618 to 700+mhz gpu core clocks and better dl/ch runs (I saw 187 and 680 before freezing once) should get me the 1.7k I need and if not, my redlines will get me there when they come back from RMA :D

Very nice results so far. I will have mine on ice water today so far I am around 3100 w/ cool water. I hope to try LN2 this week. My tank wasn't filled Friday as planned. :( Bad news is hearing it cold bugs at DI temps. :(

You have no idea what a PITA it was to mount. Two SMDs touched the base and prevented contact so I had to dremel the copper off at the side to get it to fit. Overheated my dremel and it still doesn't work lmao. I also have a gap between the insulation and the pcb because I couldn't get contact with foam there. Oh well... Might not be able to get DI today and I have to go to the dentist tomorrow so maybe not till tuesday :(

nice clocks there but seems that the first hype in germany was a little bit too crazy...there where a site testing one @3.2GHZ on air and everybody was wondering if this would be the new oc king but i think FX will stay nr.1...

I've been gone for a couple months, so I don't know what these Opterons are... apparently they are s939 non-REG single CPUs? And it looks like they OC like champs :)

You've been improving afireinside :toast: Good stuff m8.

I've found about 10 places that have them. But the really sweeet thing  is every one of them is sold out and on back order. My thanks to everybody that needed more than one. :slapass:

Ewiz, for one had stock three days ago.......now none.

I take that back,...they do have the s939 148 in stock. about $280USD IIRC.
10-04-2005, 12:51 PM
Mr. Manka

does any body have a good estimate of when they will be avaliable? / no longer back ordered
<1 month
<2 weeks
?

I havn't found anyone with them in stock. I'm checking my vendors as we speak.

Edit: Even my vendors are on backorder, ETA is 10/23.
Edit-Edit: However, My vendors should have the 144's in stock tomorrow. ETA was today. At $142 I might just have to pick one up..

BTW, Awsome scores/clocks AFI!

How about the opty's above the 146? I know they consume more power, specially the 2mb version, max 110w but will oc better maybe or not?
Anyone got one ?

can anyone confirm that the multi's are blocked, also if we try lower multi ?

I really like the speed of the 152, same has fx55 stock speed ;)

The models i'm talking about...

http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/5420/opty9395vq.jpg

There's also the 154 model that has the stock speed of the fx57 with 1mb cache

I think a few have posted good results with 148s in the Opty OC thread / AMD section.
I ordered a 148 yesterday.....so it'll be a couple more days before I have any results.

The 2MB versions are dual core as well, so 2x1MB.
