Venice 3000+ = WOOT CPU

I received one venice 3000+ and DFI SLI-D from pcdiga.com (thanks dima!) :toast:

The step is LBBLE 0519 GPMW

First Run @ default vcore

Suicide shot @ default vcore

I think I can push more 10~20mhz for suicide shot but my raid don't like higher fsb. :(

This is a hell cpu. This chip likes cold and volts. It's a dream to any overclocker. :)

I'm using normal watercooling setup with two airplex evo 240 radiators.

2.9ghz @ 1.6v to 24/7 use, but runs spi etc at 1.55v (only 2~3hrs prime stable)

What do you think guys? It's a WOOT CPU or not :slapass:

As for the file not authorized crap...make sure the file name you type in also has the extension (it works for me at least). So when you're uploading, type in: "filename.ext".

I need phase change :D
2700 @ 1.392v primestable (1.376v primestable for 48 hours but not much more)
2800 @ 1.472v primestable / d2ol-stable for 2 weeks or so

I can't up the vcore much more though, I'm pretty sure that temperature is the problem. Since I can run super pi @ 2.8GHz almost default vcore, 2.9 should be able to work with 1.55-1.6 volts? :)

I will use my "old-school" BH5 -> 270fsb 2-2-2-9-12 with 3.3v @ DFI LanParty UT 250GB (single-channel). For now 255fsb @ 3.2v with best BH5 timmings for DFI and still testing... Not so bad. :)

This venice is like glue. If I turn it on, I will never be able to turn it off. It's more strongh than me :D

When I have time to test memories etc I will post here some spi shots.

Just to know, I have folding allways running @ 2.9ghz and spi 32m + prime for burn-in sessions so 32m spi run @ 3ghz wont be a problem! ;)

overcrash86 had a LBBLE 0517EPAW primestable for weeks with (chilled, though IIRC) water at 3GHz, it (and the board) died though :(

Damnit! I was looking at 7 different 3000+ cores and I remember one of them was a GPMW! Instead.. I picked up a CPFW... which can only do 260x9 @ default voltage :(

I sold it over a month ago to a fellow forum member- Meatfrog. My mark used to be the WR for a 3200+, but then Meatfrog put the cpu under DI:

I've got a 3200+ LBBLE 0518 APDW ( or was it APAW ?? ) which I have managed to get into windows at 2.88GHz with WC and 1.72V(!) but it's not primestable (24h) above 2.7GHz!

Sorry to post 32m spi run late, but as I said before, I've had school exam's so don't have time to test it.

So it's a :woot: cpu or not :woot: ? :toast:

That spi run proves that i'm limited by my RAID (no more fsb) :slapass:

Hi,

Got myself a DFI lanparty UT Ultra-D, Venice 3500+, a tagen 580w psu and X800XL..

I only have one problem with this setup and that's that If I put memory in one of the 2 lower dimms the board doesn't boot :mad: Anyone any ideas how to fix it? the bord and cpu are 3 days old..

Also I noticed that the higher your fsb, the cpu needs more vcore, even if the resulting clock is way lower.. any input on this, for example, to run 400*7 tha cpu almost need 1.7v while it runs fine 375*8 @ less than 1.6v.. but I'm very happy with this board, my BH-5 does 255, 1.5 2-2-5 @ only 3.2v :woot:

But I need fukkin dual channel..

Yeah, or the chip is bad or the board is bad or I'm too stuped to use DCDDR..

But I really love the board, does 400fsb out of the box...
And the cpu, I don't know much about A64's, this is my first one, but my 2 years old 2600+M also did 3Ghz+ so I don't know if this is a real :woot: cpu..

What's 'bout the max safe vcore to put trough it..?

Prime stable between 2900 and 2950Mhz depending of how my ultra-D is feeling, but I'm burnin it at 3Ghz since a few days in hope it will become stable in Prime95 after a few push :p:

My chip died after 1.75v burn-in. I have another 3000+ 0519GPMW but batch nº is > 2000.

2.8ghz @ 1.7v for 24/7 with water... :slapass:

The batch number of the older chip is 1253 that's why he rulles @ 2.8ghz 1.4v :rolleyes:

Now I will try to get one with batch nº under 1000 (not easy).

I've got an +3000 0528GPFW and it's one of the worst cpu's I think.

suicide is 2700mhz. Just got it so I don't know what the highest stable clock is.

damn if only I had some more luck I might of had an week 0529 what are good.

damn, sweet cpu. My 3500+ cbble 0512 needs 1.56 for 2.8 , 1.65 for 2.9 , and 1.7 for a suicide totally not stable at 3.0ghz . I am getting a new storm block which I doubt will help a whole lot, but who knows. Running a 6002 right now.
