edit: msi k8 neo2 was a killer board and the actual neo4 is not bad either
Asus is a great stable board for people who won't tweak their systems. I've built tons of computers for people with asus boards, so I have no complaints with asus.
im thinking bout ditching my dfi sli board after only having it for 3 days .. its horrible .. so unstable .. even when running everything stock .. no overcloking .. im seriously thinking bout an asus a8n sli preminum
I'd even throw in that some minor tweaking is okay too. Like anything else, you get some good ones and you get some not-so-good ones. Asus for the most part is a top notch mobo on the whole. Its just not for xtreme tweaking.Quote:

So, the performance is NOT equal (exactly) between 8-lane and 16-lane slots.
Less so with SLI 8x and SLI 16x.

supertim0r as far as im concerd some asus sli premium presents de the same problem with the command rate timming problem

16 on the C51D (according to the pic) + 20 on the NF4 = 36 lanes, so there will be 4 left over for the 4x slot. Though at 1GHz HT clock, there will not be enough bandwidth in theory for all 32 lane to be active at once talking to the CPU (which will probably never happen anyway, and not be a problem if you overclock).Quote:

I got an A8N-SLi Premium and it can overclock 300+ fsb 1:1 1T with TCCD 2.5-4-3-7. Awesome board. Superb chipset coling. My DFI will clock a little better cuz of the 1.55v+ but the Premium is a NICE board :)Quote:

My old fan that noisy one still works like a charm, but noisy, the replacement fan though works amazing. i have no problems whatsoever..
tried the msi4 plat. the thing would always freeze on boot.
so asus was the way to go.
great stable board. the deluxe version without a hitch.
