are there any other good venice that arent week 17? i couldn't buy on and now they are all sold :(
saw some 21s already.
The one 0520 I read about somewhere here at XS didn't look too good :(
I concur, I haven't finished fully testing but my 0520 isn't looking too good. Probably 2.6GHz on air.
I got 2700mhz on 1.55v 3200+, week 21, not stable though, need a new mobo that'll feed it more volts to see what it can do
wow can't believe we're already seeing week 21s
week 12's and 15's were also good. I believe 13's too. Don't think I've seen any 14's or anything before 12. 16's were 2600-2750ish on air chips. 18's were around that also. Can't say I remember seeing any 19's.
My 0515 FPBW is doing 2745mhz with only 1,42v tested with about 6h30m of prime95.
Don't have shot for this, but I have a shot of 2700mhz with 1,39v with 14hours of prime done ;);)
Do you think is good??? hehehehe

SAlu2.
where did you get your week 21 at?
2.6GHz is good. Mines an older week and is good to 2.45GHz on 1.52v I might hit 2.5GHz if I shove alot of volts but I cant be bothered risking killing it
I have a week 19 but the mobo i ordered was DOA so no testing yet :( .Quote:

I am hoping that week 21's are good
Probably not though. I just recently started here at XS so i know nothing about Winchesters, but didn't they start out as good OCers and then they got worse and worse and towards the end a few people got simply terrible Winchesters? That's what i've been hearing anyway. If venice is anything like that, then week 15s and 17s are limited, rare, and valuable.
NewEgg is still shipping week 17s just got one last Friday :)
OEM or retail? Thanks.Quote:

Unfortunately for me, I live in scenic Hudson Valley NY and my choices of local retailers are limited to Best Buy and Circuit City. Woe be me.
NY is a big and populous state my friend. I travelled 1 hour to San Jose to get my week 17s. If you do some searching you can probably find a few stores within a 90 minute radius of yourself. If not, good luck with newegg, i think that they're mostly putting out week 20s now.Quote:

It can be pleasant to see that the processors improve with the passage of time and thus they do not put like old crazy people to look for steppings to us but.
Until soon

Those of you praising week 15.. Out of 3 3000+, the BEST was 2.7 GHz @ 1.7V and the worst was NOT stable at 2.6 at any voltage.
well my week 15 does 2.7 primestable with 1.36V so in general week 15 are pretty good.
IvanAndreevich, what were the exact steppings of your 3 chips? Sounds like you got really unlucky... or maybe week 15 is only a good week for 3200+s and not 3000+s.
i got a week 15 today thats prime stable at 2.5 ghz with 1.4 vcore and i havt really played with it yet. Boxed air and it seems to be working really well. Going to try for 2.6 tonight.
Week 15s are nice be happy you got it :D Although like said above maybe only for 3200 chips, who knows :slap:Quote:

However, a 4th chip of the same type did 2.7 @ stock volts :) My friend is using it now.
3000s 0515 FPDW that I have seen do about 2,5G with stock vCore.
3200s 0515 FPBW seems to do a bit better, as do the APAW (absolute_0), mine 2700 with 1,39v.
Only drawback for me is temperature. Where I lives (spain) we are actually at about 28º ambient. In my room with the air conditioner at 24ºC I'm getting temps of 46ºC full load with my XP90 at 2745@1,42v. I've seen that when surpassing 53ºC CPU becomes inestable and crashes with a BSOD. This happened me when testing with 1,52v at 2750mhz, temperature go to 53-54ºC and in about 30minutes system crashes. Same speed at 1,42 is 100% stable at about 46-47ºC :):):)
I could think of getting a RL system to xplode all reserves of this chip, but with 2750 I'm totally pleased, my old winchy 3000+ can't do even 2400mhz with 1,65v
salu2.
I have a 0515 3000 FPDW (0513) and it´s full stable at 2727(303*9 with 166 divider 2-3-3-6 ocz rev2 tccd) with 1.52v...
I think that it´s stable with less volts, but I need the 110% because I use the cool´n´quiet (at 104% isn´t stable).
I have problems with my tccd and the controler. It doesn´t work fine at 300*9(1:1).
My temp after 8hours of prime95 is 47ºC with a zalman 7000b-cu and 25Cº of ambient temp.
Sorry for my horrible english.
It's interesting that people with earlier weeks keep chiming in, given the title of this thread. :)

I wish I had not read this. I see NEgg has 3000 retails for $147 shipped so I think I live in GA so I should get one from NJ. WRONG, It's coming from CA so you know it's going to be a new stepping.Quote:

But if attempt to raise up to 2,550 with 1.4v does not finish pi.
To that it must this?

LBBLE 0520 DPAW (I believe it's a PAW at least, don't wanna take it out but I'm 90% sure of that). I ran 600 runs of lobby low with prime running in the background while I went to work came home to find no errors. It's running a 133 memory divider because I'm on the DFI NF3 Ultra-D and didn't wanna worry about ram giving me problems. I cannot verify the voltage, temps I don't know either bios says about 42c whenever I check, seems accurate enough. Cooling is an arctic Freezer 64. I ran prime at 2800mhz and no errors for a couple hours, but lobby froze on me about 2 hours in. And at 2850mhz it bsods right away, wierd. I 'm guessing it's a mobo issue.

here's mine and I can go prolly a bit higher with frequency..and laso the time..i was just trying to see if it was stable :)

It seem that my 3200+ 0520BPMW does not scale well with Vcore, also i think the mem controller is BAD on this CPU, I can use any type of torture with these settings and its rock solid stable but if I try ANY Pi over the 1MB it craps out :( , Its not my ram because it does the same when using a divider :slapass:

Just picked up a 0520CPAW 3000+. Still waiting on my motherboard, but shoulod have some results in a couple days. I'll post them when I have them.
I have a Lbble 0520 dpdw clocks 2.7ghz at 1.52 on air and 2.8ghz on water at 1.65
0523 is already out here in australia.. that's weird - i wonder how they clock...
I just got the same processor, im at 2.6 (290x9) at 1.47, however it isnt prime stable.Quote:

Finally found my problem, the board will not go above 290 HTT  BUT :) after tweaking I am more than happy with my final 24/7 settings
2.8Gig rock solid (will post screenie later) at only 1.502 ~ 1.520 (damn VTT fluctuation, only when using 1.425 + 10 in bios, will tweak to fix) and benchable @ just under 2.9Gig
http://img340.echo.cx/img340/6359/pi146wz.jpg
Nice one alphaone, mine does 290x9 @ 1.5, 8 hours prime stable. But im goin to push it somemore and hurry up and finish my water setup so i can maybe squeeze some more out of it.
Ill post some screenies when i get out of work, already late for it
Looks like the week 20 BPMW is da real thing Delirious, HA, who needs week 17 :p:
Hey you got a screenshot of your settings in A64Tweaker? It seems really odd to me that you can't get over 290 HTT. I had trouble myself at different HTT speeds but most of the problems came from max asynch/ read preamble and dram response time settings.Quote:

If you would be happy with an overclock around 2.7-2.9 @1.5v-1.6v with the stock cooler then u should get it.Quote:

My 520 dpmw hits 2.6 at 1.45v prime stable for 8 hours. But at 2.7 ive been throwing 1.55 at it and it doesnt run prime for more than 5 min, but it will run spi 32m all day long. It boots into windows just fine at 2.7 1.475 but its not prime stable. Im sure i could probably hit 2.8-2.9 with 1.6v or less, just not prime stable on stock hs.
My memory is capabel of runing 300htt but when in memtest at anything over 9x290(2.6) i get errors running tests 5 and 8. So im sure those are cpu related and not memory.
This is all with the stock heatsink will 2 120mm's blowing on it.
Hopefully water will get me to 2.7.
this it is my result in 1.4V
http://img309.imageshack.us/img309/8...vstable5qr.jpg
But I need much vcore additional to manage to arrive at 2.8ghz :slapass: .
I have the hope that better cooling can help a little because this Venus 7+ does not seem to help much. :nono:
I just 0520 LBBLE from AMD tech tour bundle. I'm gonna hook it up in the next few days :)
anyway 17 weeks is much better i can do 2.7G at 1.34V ,12hour prime95http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1...1/DSC01114.jpg[/IMG]
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b1...1/DSC01131.jpg
Thats some sick silicon u got there eage! I´v got week 19 DPCW 3000+ which does 2700MHz@1,5Vcore on air. I think it will do 2,8GHz wit water and some more juice.
Nice chip eage!
That's a killer 3000+ Is it prime-stable @ 2.9 or above?
ditto :)Quote:

Wow that's some nice results there!
All I know, is forget stepping this new venice has to be better than my crappy winchester lol! Looking foward to sharing my own 3200+ results nextweek.
my 3000+ sucks, its a week 20, not sure of what sub stepping it is or those 4 letters I mean.
I get 2.25ghz @ stock voltage and its hell from there and up.
I need around 1.65v to even get 2.55ghz kinda stable =(
I dont know what else it could be...Im keeping my ram under 200mhz and my htt @ 3x, my board wont boot at 2x =(
I think I just have a crappy 3000+ venice Im gonna try and buy another one at frys tonight see if I have more luck with it, if I do then its for sure a crappy chip that I have now.
here's my new 0520APMW....
