I need Kobe Tai to come over and bite my tongue.
And right after several fanboys in Intel forums revive the old claim that Amd's cpu's aren't/weren't stable, I get to see this gem... http://www.tomshardware.com/stresstest/index.html
Really hard to follow but from what I gather it's an X2 vs an 840ee. (so 2 core vs 2 phys 2 virt cores). AMD's winning 3 of the 4 concurrent tests. Intel's winning video encoding because the AMD apparently has it set to lower priority than everything else. But most amusingly... the 840ee has crashed at least twice (the temp chart makes it look more like three times, since it's crashed right now). I can't find much info about it, but Id say it's a decent bet that it's temp and/or power related.

Intel blue screen of death
Intel blue screen of death is on but the system is online?
Intel crash counter was 3 now it is 1?
Clearly the power supply is 200W less than it used to be, perhaps ths video cards are fried?
What the hell is going on at tom hardware?
