My "sig"
In the sig...
sig below
3.2 EE Socket 478 @ 3.73 GHz - 1.7v - water cooled - 36hrs dual prime stable
Abit AI7
Mushkin 3500 LvII BH-5 @ 233 MHz - 3.2v - 2225 F1
Can go higher, but I feel my Abit AI7 is not upto it, PWM will go over 100c, sooner or later can expect a reboot.
Can post @ 3.95 GHz into bios, memtest will lock up (even with 5:4).
Loads into windows at 3.9 GHz+, but add any load, reboot occurs.
Settled for 3.6 GHz @ 1.575v, the PWM is 70-80 dual prime. I think the power circuitry of the AI7 is keeping me from a stable higher overclock?
Either that, or I got a dud :(
Sig bellow , but i am looking to move forward and with water i got 3.9GHz , but here in Miami is so hot so , i believe is OK ...
is that really 1.95v ??? :eek:Quote:

1.95v is way too xtreme for a P4EE! Especially at that speed. Look in my sig for my 3.4EE o/c.

nice overclocks guys. cant wait to see some 840XE's when they come out in here! keep em coming!
btw, FUGGER dont you have a 840EE? if you do, please post your OC results here! man that would be cool to have a Phase change on a 840EE. talk about powerhouse!
Not stable for longer than 24 hours, at 1.7v (yes, I am risking the chip, but it's necessary to keep this speed stable).
made this a sticky :)
thank you saaya :)Quote:

Nice idea Ingent, coming together of all the EE owners is a meeting of powerhouses indeed...now if we can only get you to decide on one avatar, maybe you'd fit right in :D lol
Good stuff...while the rest of us :slobber: on those EE Scores. Nice
Perkam
lol perk, i like switch avatars every 2 weeks or so. and thanks for my EE thread idea.
Ummm...I posted that link for you two posts ago ;) lolQuote:

56hrs, thats over 2 days of dual prime95.
3600 MHz - 1.575v - 1:1 - 2225 F1 E
During prime, looped 3d marks and other 3d apps for many hours on end, played games, did work, Super PI 32mb. Internet Explorer did not crash on me once, during all this time.
For the life of me, I can't figure out why I can get into windows at 3.95 GHz at ultra high voltage. Then I run 3.73 GHz at 1.7v for 36 hours, and IE will crash, later a reboot occured.
Maybe 3.6 GHz is all my chip has, or maybe my motherboard is holding be back from atleast 3.8 GHz?
http://img136.echo.cx/img136/2481/56hr36001575v3db.jpg
yeah, i used to have a 3.2EE. they dident OC very well :(.
Im using a Corsair COOL water cooling, basically the same as the swiftech package I think, very simular.
http://www.swiftnets.com/products/MCB-120.asp
Nothing amasing, but its is a decent cooler never the less. When I add alot of voltage, the temps don't go up by much.
Oh yeah, Before I primed for 56 hours, I disconnected the fan, to see when it will lock up. Temp slowly climbed to 60c, then in about 15min at 60c it hard locked.
Otherwise its never goes over 50c at full prime load, even if my room temp is 30c thats measured using Abit's uguru monitor.
What is the best voltage guys , for me , i am chiling the CPU with Waterchill and i keep de CPU @ 3.9GHz? i am trying diferent voltages between 1.55 and 1.65 but i am not sure what stop me to make 100% stable @ 4GHZ may be my memory is too bad...
whats your temps?
My temps idle is like 33'C full is like 38-39'C sometimes when air-condition is OFF i reach 40'C right now with MBM 30'C 30'C / 86'F - 86'F
by the way i just ordered Mushkin XP4000 REDLINE . may be my memory is bad? We'll se next monday....
hmm, shouldent they be a little cooler with water? i thought the gallatins run really cool.
I am in Miami , and my house is not realy good insolated :)
so is prety hot in my room :)
lol thats why proboly. heh, im in NH so it gets preety cold here. hmmm, maybe considering going phase change? that would be really cool.
I am actualy thinking about that those days .... for one Vapochill LS... for my birthday 4th of july.... and hopefully i gonna reach 4.3GHz or something like that.... lets see... i am worrie about the condenz 'cos the heat in Miami , can somebody give me some advice about that?
if you want advice, ask chilly1. he is the 1 to ask.
who's the "unit" in your sig?? :DQuote:

I get the feeling the most users (maybe 95%+ or even 99%) of computer hardware forums are male. Kind of gay having your own or someone elses male body around here, don't you think.
Most men would have half naked chicks at least or a picture of their girlfriend.
ummm, am I in the wrong place, possible blue osyter forums?
Hi,
I have a 3.73EE and Intel D925XECV2. Right now it OC to 4.106GHz but I would like to go higher. I am waiting on CrystalCPUID to get working so I can change the multiplier to 15. Does anybody know of another way to change the multiplier if it is changeable on this chip? I will be getting the Intel D955XBKLKR soon. Thanks.
Here are some pics from 3.0 EE ES Gallatin Core. I got this non Retail CPU on eBay.
I use it for Gaming in my Shuttle SB61G2V3 Barebone. I think the chip can do more than 3.5G but if I set 1.5875V in Bios it will go down to 1.43V under Load.
Temps are very good with Stock Heatpipe cooling. Damn that I can´t go higher than ~225FSB 1:1

Hello everybody,
my system is built around an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe Rev. 2.0 (BIOS 1016), with 1 GB of Winbond BH-5 DIMMs (OCZ EL DDR PC-3500 Dual Channel Platinum Limited Edition) and an Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.4 GHz Engineering Sample!
It is still air cooled and that way I got it 100% stable at 13 x 285 = 3709 MHz this winter... Now that it is a lot hotter, I unfortunately had to go back to 13 x 283 = 3684 MHz to make it stable again, but I am about to improve my cooling, so hopefully I will be able to raise things again a little...
The memory, by the way, is in 5:4 mode and 2-3-2-5, but with the help of the upcoming DDR Maximizer, I am hoping to improve that too! :p:
Freddy
Not really "extreme" but this is my max "semi" stable on air.
^^^ Dude, wrong thread.
Little update from my Side. 300MHz was possible to see on CPUz but no way to make a screenshot ;-)

Here it´s not an Super Pi Thread, so Super Pi Timings only to show that the CPU can handle the speed seen on picture.Quote:

Try to get a better Score with same System ;-)
If I put the Chip on my Abit AI7 I can get easy over 3.8G which much more better Pi Times, but that is not the way I want :D
€: BTW, I never used patched Pi Version for SSE2 / SSE3. Only mod to see milliseconds.
For instance, with the help of ('Prescott Patch') i did earn 2 seconds in SuperPi
http://www.vr-zone.com.sg/Shamino/AS8/pipatch.zip
Of course, it's like cheating.....
But i like to use all the ressources of my rig.....(improvements are welcomed...especially sofwares one.... :p: )
On the same way (i would welcome a Dual Core version of SuperPi.....or a win64 or linux64 version)
It would be interesting to see this bench evolve
I understand know what's in your mind.....Putting a specific chip on a specific system...
Think those chips must run well

My old EE :)
Pentium Extreme Edition 840 at 3.7 ghz Prime95 x4 stable for 24 hours (ok well not 24 hours but 23 hours and 55 minutes) with DDR833. The vcore was set to 1.40v in bios but would droop to 1.30-1.33 under 100% load. Will post screenie when I get home.
Parts used:
-Motherboard- Asus P5WD2 Premium
-PSU- PC Power and Cooling 510 SLI
-Cooling- Swiftech MCW-6000, Corsair COOL northbridge, 2-Koolance VID-NV2-LO6, Swiftech MCP-655, BIX III and a Typhoon Dual 5 1/4 reservoir.
-Memory- Corsair XMS2 8000UL 2x512 at DDR833 4-2-3-9 2.1v
this is a real crunching monster for D2OL running four "nodes" over double the output of my 3.4EE. Name on D2OL is weazel.
No overclocking picture, but some special P4 EE ES :) . It´s a 3.73 EE with only 1MB of L2 cache. I don´t know why cpu-z says it´s an nocona core.
But 1MB L2 is true, has same serial as 3.73 EE, only 1M and 2M is different printed on the HS.

I broke my personal record in super pi today 31s ! not so bad i hope!!! i havent done any modifications in winxp (Sp2)
my setup:
Ic7max3 (vtt mod) ddr booster 3.2EE @ 4ghz 1.63v fsb 250 1:1 Bh5 2-2-2-5 @ 3.4v
^^ Nice score, what sort of cooling are you using?
Iam using a standard mach2... does any one now if i can set my ddr booster to 3.6v its spec says max 3.4v but i can set it to 3.6 and higher but i dont now if its producing 3.6v any one know?
what sort of power supplies are you guys using to power these beasts? I'm topping out an ultra 600W just below a 25% OC...
I also have a 3.2 ee. Mine is only stable up to 215 fsb  I have good air cooling. What temps do you have to run to get it up to 4ghz? On your ddr booster you can check to see what your bios says the voltage is. I have an Antec TP 550.Quote:

Do you have the stock cpu cooling faan? i think you can hit more!
what is your temps and what volt is your cpu at?
Wellll let's see here.
We've got the chip itself (which is strangely stable at 1.36/3.5GHz)
The mobo, using a LOT of the onboard goodies
4 Sticks of Ram
A 6800GT
TV Tuner
Gigabyte Wireless Router Card.
Then we have the optical drive and 4 HDDs, plus the 6 case fans.
Time to switch to an enermax 465 :)
Hello Kenshin. I have an asus star ice heat sink with fan. My idle temp is 37c and my load is 48c. Voltage is 1.6. No matter what I do it will not boot over 220fsb. I was hoping for more of an overclock. My 3e prescott overclocked outbenches my ee. And of course as soon as I got this a 3.4 ee became available for the same price.

Is it pc3200 mem you have and what is your volt on the mem? whitout my vtt mod i could only do about 225fsb.. and there is some guide on xs about setting up your bios for ic7 boards.. and yes prescott cpus is oc well my 3.2E does 290fsb 4.6ghz on my asus p4c800-E deluxe. not prime stable.. but it was under my 226w pelt + cold tapwater.. i havent tried it under my mach2!
so yes the oc well. :D
Intel Pentium Extreme Edition 840 @ 3.73GHz / Core
233MHz (933) FSB
ASUS P5WD2 Premium Mobo
2x1GB Mushkin DDR2 @ 700MHz Cas 4-3-3-12
Koolance Exos 2 w/ Swiftech 6000 Waterblock
VCore set to 1.45 in Bios, Will drop to 1.35v Under 100% Load on all "4" Cores
100% Stable for 24Hr Memtest 86+, 24Hr Prime95 (4 Instances) - Idle 45C, Full Load 61C
Im happy but would have liked a higher FSB :(
Will post Screenies in a few
System in sig.

My system in sig below...
3.73EE ES suicide shot. cooling done by the coldness of the air outside and a fan blowing it into my pc.
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/4...p148ghz2kc.jpg
Just a 5% overclock...Intel 3.2 GHz EE to 3.36GHz through my motherboard ASUS P4P800 Deluxe i865Perl chipset...I have had it up to 3.68 GHz but had some stability problems...Jet 7 overclockers fan...water cooling would be better.
950ES at 4GHz, its in a Shuttle so not even tried higher.
Waiting to set up my 955XE ES, tested to 4.26 in the lab on air, 5GHz under the Vapo but the D955XBK was starting to reach its limits.
Got a 840XE ES kicking around too which I had up to 4.4 in the Vapo, again in the D955XBK.
Almost tempted to fire up the LGA775 3.2 Gallatin-2M system to see what it'll do.

All Extreme Editions are unlocked since either the Pentium 4 3.73GHz or the Pentium Extreme Edition 840.
The Conroe based EE will also be unlocked.
P4 Extreme Edition 3.73 (ES) I seen another guy had the same CPU as mine, kinda weird, Ive only heard of a couple like that mine included.
P4 EE 3.73, P5WD2 E, Mushkin EM 4300 3-2-2-8, Ultra 600, TDX water block, dual core dual pump water system. SuperPi was realy slow due to ram, I havent went back to adjust it just yet. I realy dont want to loosen the timings but maybe aIll give it a shot and see if I can get this into the 20's. Max clock is around 4.4.
Max clock so far. Wich a higher multi was available.

couldnt let this thread die without posting in it first. Pentium 4 3.46EE @ 3.515Ghz.mind you thats due to my mobo being factory set at 271fsb for some reason.hope to achieve 3.73Ghz+ before replacing mobo and cpu.
XE oc Thread cool. So here is mine.
This is for 24-7 use on water.
