i was just thinking the other day how stagnant the cpu arena has been. i still believe that MB manu's are trying to catch up anyway, producing higher powered cpu's may not be the answer in the short run, getting the unit to run like a well tuned Ferrari, without bottleneck this and bottleneck that, everything working in a pure flow, CPU, ram, MB, etal.
although it is getting better, there is mucho room for improvement before CPU speeds are gonna make any real difference.
