1999 BMW 735i with a 4.4ltr 410 bhp ex diplomatic car and all the trimmings + i am also in the market for something else because 10 - 20 mpg aint good at current price levels.
1989 405 T16.
Truimph GT6 (still undergoing restoration)
Couple of others of no real acclaim.
98 corolla
i drive a 94 Pontiac Sundird but soon to be a 97 Olds Cutlass
2000 Grand Prix GT ^_^
Although the blue one is gonna be my next one :p GXP 5.3 V8 with Displacement on Demand >=) Not to mention its a jazzed up GTP. Even better ^_^
89 Maxima with over 230,000 miles and still going. I'm gonna drive this one til the wheels fall off :D
2005 BMW 530i, similar to the image you see in my avatar. I also have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab that's in dire need of a new engine. :(
You'll be driving that car for a long time before the wheels fall off. Those old school Maximas last forever (especially the engine).Quote:

This is my daily ride which absolutely requires the ability to haul the entire family around, double as my "executive look" car for work, and scratch the very intense muscle car performance itch I have. It's the only car that foot the bill.
Of course I've modded it:D
13.5 PSI Eaton Supercharger (fully intercooled of course)
Kooks headers and custom 2.5" exhaust
FMS 4.10 gears
Eaton 31 Spline differential
Custom 31 Spline axles
Shift kit

Its all good for 500+ HP and 12.1 Qtr mile times @ 114. Of course its refined enough that you can drink tea in it while you drive and not spill a drop on the leather. She's a daily driver in good weather. An F-150 covers me in the bad stuff.
Sweet Marauder. There are several coppers in my division that drive the same car, though not as suped up as your ride. 12.1 for a "family car" is insane. :slobber: Are you running stock internals in the block, or have you bullet-proofed your bottom end to handle the PSI?
Right now the short block is stock and the heads/cams untouched. Although I'm getting to the edge reliability wise, with the right tune, these modular motors can make some serious power. The weak link in these motors is the pistons which can lose a ring landing under duress. The key is to have a safe enough tune to prevent detonation (pre ignition). If you can do that, you can run about 500hp safely.Quote:

What's killer about the car is the docile nature if you can keep your foot out of it. Here's a few more good shots:

EDIT- I thought some of you guys mike like this too. Its a link to one of my dyno runs. Neat if you like that sort of thing:)
500HP Marauder Dyno Run
Do you have any dyno graphs? Other than the shift kit, has your tranny been modified in any way? I'm really liking your ride, man. We can go at this all day since I'm a Ford guy. I used to have a '66 Mustang with a K-Code 289 that put out 450hp @ 6,000RPM and almost 750hp when I hit the switch for the bottle. I had major traction problems with that car since my frame was factory stock. I had some ladder bars, but that wasn't a big help.

HP and TQ are at the rear wheel on the chassis dyno. Actual numbers at the block are roughly 15% higher. Also, the dyno shot is with 91 octane pump gas. When I run 103 Octane race gas, you can add another 40hp and 30tq to the numbers. I have a flip switch in the car that bumps the tune aggressively when I run race gas:D
What's really great about the power production on this set up is the awesome TQ. Over 400 ft lbs from 3300 to 5500. That's enough to snap your head off and drop it in the back seat from a 30mph roll:D
The tranny is stock aside from the shift kit. The shift kit just firms up the 1-2 shift for more durability at WOT shifts.
Other mods include a Pro-M 80mm mass air meter, upgraded fuel system to support the blower, a full set of autometer guage pods in the :banana::banana::banana:pit, widened factory rear rims (to except the Nitto Drag Radials), and a few other bits.
Cheers to another Ford man :toast: Sounds like your 66 was areal bad azz!
Thanks.Quote:

I think the problem is its an American Muscle car NOT designed by American engineers.

All kidding aside, I haven't sprung for the torque converter due to the degraded OEM feeling that comes with it. These cars respond with jerky/lurchy feeling with a higher stall. I know a few Marauder guys with the stall and they did indeed pick up some nice gains with a looser Stallion converter. But I just don't like the feel for normal street driving. Not to mention I love the smooth low end launch on the street when I'm not at WOT. Compromises, compromises:)
To get into the 11's all I need is my new gas tune. That should put me over. If not, I'll be hitting it with a 50 shot!
Might as well make it a direct port 100 shot plumbed straight to the runners of your manifold. I don't know how much of a lead foot you are, but a 10-pound bottle would last me two days at the most. I had a hard time keeping my finger off of the trigger.Quote:

The NO2 on this set up is a dry system that connects after the mass air meter, but before the blower. It cools the compressor down that way.
There is only one other blown/Nos Marauder in the country and he's running 11.57s. Basically my set up plus NOS. No gutting of the car. Every bell and whistle intact. Simply amazing for a 4200lb boat!

'95 Eagle Summit DL - the car no one has ever heard of...
It's my first car, so don't expect too much.
It's got about 130-140 horsepower to the front wheels, transmitted through a 5-Speed Manual, and weighs in at ~2500 pounds. A surprising amount of jump for a "micro-van." I haven't pushed it to the top speed yet, but I've heard people with the exact same car were able to hit 250 KPH (~155 MPH). I find that hard to believe. I've hit 60MPH in second gear once, but I'm not even sure what the RPM was because it's got no tachometer! My friend took off at 3rd gear once, and on a leveled road. To my great surprise, it pulled it off without stalling, but the smell of the roasted clutch stayed in the car for days, it was wonderful. :D
Everything in the car except for the headunit and speakers are stock. I replaced the cassette player and horrible 5w speakers with a Sony head-unit and generic 440w pounders. They deliver a suprising amount of bang for just 4 satellites with no sub or amp.

She does about 115 down the highway :P
1998 Ford F250 - All stock except for a Reading cap.
1998 Cadillac Deville - This thing has been upgraded with tons of invisible parts, you would never tell by looking at it. It has a almost 500HP Northstar in it, the transmission has been regeared to match the engines power, it has some sort of high end computer that will do all sort of tuning on the fly automatically. It's had the suspension shrunk so it rides a bit lower too. Something was done with the exhaust for more power, I can't remember what. I think that covers all of it, this car was given to me modded so there might be other things that I don't remember on it too, it's hard to remember things I didn't personally do.
1964 Willis CJ5 - The suspension has been upgraded to handle around 6000 pounds, the transmission has been geared for extreme torque, it maxes out at around 55MPH. I also put in the biggest clutch avalible because I kept smashing up weaker ones. The body is held together by a set of steel tubes because it's so destroyed it wont stay together any other way.
My dad gave me the Deville because he doesn't like me driving around in a truck that's as trashed as the Willis is. There's a reason I drive the CJ5 though, it's so old and trashed it doesn't matter if it gets damaged.
The F250 is for working, I keep a smaller version of almost every tool in my shop in the truck. (Hence the Reading cap)

I had stiffened antiroll bars strut brace, drilled and grooved dics lowered springs. I then had a nice ICE install, infinity kappa all round with rockford amps. I only had the car a year but it was great fun and one of only 10 in the country at the time. When your 21 with a few points on your license group 3 insurance is a god send.

Nice, I`m glad they made it, but it pisses me off they couldn`t make it look like a GTO.
The new beatles look like a beatle, the new mustangs look like a mustang, the new thunderbirds look like a thunderbird, but no scoop, no hood tach, no nothin, the new GTO looks just like everyother car on the road. :(
The GTO looks similar to a Grand Prix or Grand AM. Thats why theres nothign special about them.
I agree, it is kinda plain for being a GTO but it's a lot of car for what I paid for it. I bought it for 17600 brand new because they were not popular cars. For 05 they have upped the HP by 50, put on some new hood scoops and rear bumper and a few other changes and reduced production by 50%. I bought mine for almost half of MSRP and it's worth it, but not MSRP. The fit and finish is better than any other GM car I've seen and it's made in Austrailia. There are a few oddities about it and I wish they made it look like the Austrailian or European versions instead of dumbing it down for us Americans.
There was no reason why Pontiac couldn`t make their own V-8 and top it off with three 2bbl throttle boddies for a Tri-Power look, but have the fuel efficiancy of a modern injected unit. Give it a Hurst shifter, hood tach, RAM air induction, all the things that made the GTO a GTO. The `69-70 Judge is the most popular/most reconised GTO, they should have made the new body look close to those. IMO, the GTO could have been the biggest winner from all this retro stuff, but, not.
I completely agree, I don't consider my GTO a real GTO. Just a car with 350hp, good ride, cost effective with a GTO name badge. They could have done so much more with it, and that's why it was the 3rd worst selling car last year. But it worked out well for me. :toast:Quote:
