Very nice stuff!!
I get my Ultra-D on wednesday with my vx and x800 !! :D
cant wait
Can you use the ddr boosters in these mobos?
no this mobo have 4.0v for Vmem
How the hell the mboard wont let you...
whats ure ldt at?
lol 460 HTT insaine i can't wait for my SLi-D to arrive have you added chipset voltage? No need for a DDR booster as that only goes to 3.9v while this can do 4v mem and 2.1 vcore :)
how did u get 460 ? the clockgen is upto 456...
is it 4 real ?
Is that true?Quote:

With the HTT being so high on boards i am surpised AMD don't bring it out with a higher HTT Athlon.
The physical clockgen...Quote:

same here Luigi, we gat the same htt +- with the sli-dr.Quote:

the mem controller wont be able to handle ddr-800Quote:

see, if AMD64's can do 9000+ at 300 FSB's, and is pretty common these days, then imagine what 400+ at 1:1 would do :D
can't imagine DDR1 ever doing that.
DDR2 however has been doing that... at extremely lame CAS, but it has been doing that kinda speed on P4's lately.
that HTT 460 .... it's a speed that's even I've got sooo surprised ... never been seeing those speeds at nF3 Ultra's before .... only one word ... I.N.S.A.N.E. LOL ...
We know that for AMD, latency is everything ..... dunno if DDR2 is coming for AMD, but it seems that AMD is jumping to DDR3 perhaps ... DDR2 timings are lame for AMD ... maybe DDR3 will do the trick ...CMIIW.
Nice Score Cupra!Quote:

there is no such thing as DDR3 anyway, DDR2 will probly last as long as DDR1 which is ages
the only reason there is GDDR3 is becuase VDDR2 ran way too hot to be practical
my Rev. is A00

What hard disk are you using ???
If it is SATA drive, which ports are you using, NF4 or Sil ??

But strange that I cant get over ~320HTT on my NF3 despite setting low cpu multiplier (5x) and low ldt (2x). Increased chipset voltage as well but keeps crashing if I raise htt with clockgen.
thanks kiwi
luigi
I'm trying to find out if the NF4 SATA ports hinder overclocking in any way.
You might wanna use it anyway... :)Quote:

Incredible 3dMark2001 considering the CPU speed. A quick check on the ORB reveals that most with 6600GTs around that score have much higher CPU speeds (200mhz+) and have clocked up their cards well over the stock 500/1000 speeds as well.
Is it possible that the the mobo makes that much difference?
nice board mate! :)

a high HTT is just for the fun

I've never seen high HTT = performance, but he's snapping off a high 3Dmark2001 (high based on his CPU speed, and video card OC) so I'm wondering if that is a contributiong factor. Maybe we can get a 3Dmark2003 score to isolate the video card and see whats its bringing to the table.Quote:

nice score gigi! ;) ;)
what kind of cooling are you all using on these rigs?
You can use half multi's for ldt? and what is the standard voltage?

I really do think AMD should go DDR2 very quickly, we've already shown that relaxed timings don't make too much difference to the A64's.

It's nice.
Could you please measure the height of the DFI-NB-Cooler?
I´m looking for a watercooled solution and need a flat NB-Cooler.
Thx and greetz,

You take first prize.

I've been overclocking my board and got my 3000+ winnie and PDP XBL up to 275 Bus so far with 2-3-3-7-1T timings with no extra voltage. I'm going to work on it further tonight, but dropping the proc down to 5X multiplier (board reset somehow), I got the memory to 300 bus almost prime stable.
Once I caught the multiplier having been dropped to 5X, I changed it and couldn't get the memory to run at the same speeds anymore for some reason. Proc speed shouldn't affect the bus the memory can handle right?
That would normally mean the proc is limiting me, except the Prime error I'm getting is the == .5 when .4 was expected == error that everyone says means memory is the problem. So then why wouldn't the memory be able to handle the same bus at 9X CPU multiplier as it does at 5X?
I'm trying to find my limiting factor.
EDIT: Also, anyone have any recommendations on increasing voltage? Will increasing the voltage on the chipset or LDT increase my ability to OC my memory?

its crazy that DDR1 at 325 is still a bottleneck for what these new chipsets can do with a good AMD 64....
it's about time to move to DDR2 it looks like :D
thaks kunaak.

Still my question:
Would you be so kind and measure the height of the northbridge-cooler and the distance between northbridge-cooler and video-card?
Thanks a lot,

Wow.. good job !! That dfi of yours is kicking some HTT butt.. :)
up ...
Nice catch! ;)
