Overclocking is not the AMD.Motherboard ,promise cpec.
CPU&Motherboard can access 200MHZ,RAM access 300MHZ
Like Msi_NEO2, 2/3 can pass 300MHZ.
1/3 can not pass 300 MHZ If we make the RAM of pass DDR600,it will be error situation in this Motherboard.
In this high MHZ, It must depend the CPU,MOTHERBOARD,RAM.
All of three equipment are powerful, It can pass the related testing tools.
As I know,DDR600 is the limited item in the market.

isn't 'LA' suppose to be 3-4-4-8 for ddr600 and 'LC' is 2.5-4-4-8 ddr600. look at the stickers on the ram. did 'LA' change binning? are they speed binned at 2.5 cas ddr600? if so then exactly what is the difference between 'LA' and 'LC' ?

I am use the Nero2-1.41 mod edition.
General to say,The market-sale motheroard just only DDR600~DDR620.
I tested many neo2-motherboard.They just ddr620 2.5-3-3-6.(Max-Limit).
Unless especial motherboard,It is easy ddr640 or above.
I have a special mothernoard,It has limit in the DDR682(Pass memtest86 v1.30 all test).

This is very strong.
If I receive this motherboard,I will post this test as fast as possible.

I have had over 3100 in memtest at sub 300fsb with lower latency ram and a 1gig kit...i really can't see the point of high latency ram and 939 cpu's :confused:A64 has a low latency memory controller, you really need to be running 2.5-3-3 or tighter to get the best from it...and the best way to check is Everest Write or sandra unbuffered.

This has nothing to do with OCZ...today these are my comments.

Also continual testing of 256 modules does nothing but prove the load on the memory controller really matters...IE..the lower the better ;)

Lets see you guys run 2-2-2 at 300 or or as close as you can with the TCCD 1gig kit, then I will be impressed.

I'm going to order some LA after Christmas, I think this really is the best TCCD product available personally.

What can I say windwithme... that is some impressive stuff. :thumbsup:

I could only manage 270 MHz 2.5-3-3-5 1T @ 2.85V 2x 512 MB on the Abit AV8 with Corsair TwinX1024-3200XL v1.2 (BP 815 PCB + TCCD ICs)... I think it's pretty good for a setup using a K8T800 Pro motherboard and DDR400 RAM. :)

Here's a screenshot... don't mind the low speed of the CPU... it was cooled by a TR XP120 with no clips attached to the socket (=>crappy cooling) so I couldn't manage higher speeds. That's why the b/w seems a bit too low. But those are 1T results. Cheers! :toast:

The limits of p revious Testing report is located 600.And it can pass memtest86.This is just testing in the MHZ.

I have no tested the extreme performance and best-optimized –parameter. If I have more time, I will do this testing parameter-value.

Well...I'm impressed.

I have a P4 2.4C that I run at ~282fsb. So I am looking for a 1GB set (512x2) of RAM to run at tight timings at 282 1:1.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the GSkill PC4400. However, there are so many variations (i.e.: LA, LC, LD, LE).

Based on GSkill's specs, I would think the LE would be best. But I saw a post somewhere that indicated that the LA is preferable for highest overclocking speeds at tightest timings. I'm confused.

Which one is best for my situation? :confused: Thanks for any help!

Still DDR 625 with 2,5-3-3-5 timings ain't bad at all for 2x512mb with 1T CMD.

300 2-2-2 isn't going to happen with anyting other than some xtreme BH-5 and some ugly voltage.
And then again, not with 2x512mb. :(

I am going to call newegg and see if they will take them back, hopefully they will let me upgrade to pc4800 LA. Those look pretty good! the dates on these are kinda old too. week 31. most of my tccd from 31 we're not very good. I think I'll keep the VX in for now. oh well. :shrug:

thanks wwme, but I have many sets of tccd and I've tested them in the same board with the same tried and true settings. I attached an error log from memtest86 so you and OPB can see they are POS sticks. I'm really surprised these sticks couldn't even pass at rated speeds and they are just 2x256. THese should have no problem with this rig. I think I just got sticks that are bad. Maybe shipping damage or ESD damage. THis is my first run with Gskill but I am not giving up. A friend of mine(klisp) just got the same sticks and he also had problems. :shrug:

Hence why i RMA'ed back to newegg. I had the gskill LE "440" 2x512 set. I also tried 1 stick by itself on all different dimm slots. I also tried all different voltages and mem timmings. I think i got some bad ic's.

The 754 chipset MB I bought 3 pcs before and all the MSI K8N NEO. These I used were the TCC5 RAM. These were all passed the 600MHz and 1T setting.

The 1st K8N NEO I pluged the RAMs on DIMM 1 and 2 and used the 520MHz. The 2nd K8N NEO I pluged the RAMs on DIMM 1 and 2 and used the 540MHz. The 3rd K8N NEO I pluged the RAMs on DIMM 1 and 2 and used the 560MHz. All MB were passed the MEMTEST function

I also bought and tested the two DFI 754 LANPARTYs, one can runnings 560MHz and 580MHz.

As I knew, 754 chipset using the single channel for DIMM can using higher frequency and 939 chipset were opposite. However 939 or 754 DIMM frequency all over 250MHz and normal. But, all chipset had differ performance.

The LC are rated at 275Mhz, 2.5-4-4-8.
The LE are rated at the same speed but with 2.5-3-3-7 timings.

So I'd go for the LE kit, or the slighty more expensive LA kit.

I can only find the LC available at UK online stores - CPUcity and PC-Memory-Upgrade

Honestly, I won'tthink LA 1g kit will better than LE 1g!
LA 1g was tested under DDR600 2t at that time but LE was tested under DDR550 1t:)

Ok. I just cant quite grasp why you're getting the best results on LA, and recommending LE ( i know its 2x256, but the difference cannot possibly be that great..) isnt 2x256 LA also tested at DDR600 2T?

btw, what's the great difference in 2T? As in theoretically, practically, and how much higher in OC you can go with 2T.

Hi guys, i have a friend who has bought a stick of twinmos (256MB) with mTec chips. It is doing 270 2-2-2 at 3'2V on a DFI UT250, not pi stable but it does sandra tests. 4155.

I went with a gig of the le myself that will be here Thursday! I can't wait to sslap those sticks in and crank down the timings.

From everything I have read and heard the le in 2x512 is the way to go.

I see that the LA's are reccommended for socket 939, but I was wondering how some of the results on Intel's look.

I just received the LE 2 x 512MB. It runs fine at the rated speed (2.5,3,3,7,. at 550DDR); however, I can not run Performance Acceleration Technology (PAT) on my Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard. If I try, it will run for a while, then I get a high pitched squeel, and the system freezes.

Defective memory chip??? :confused:

squeel comming from motherboard or PSU?

Tight memory timings may be causing inceased current draw which would cause instabilities if your board or PSU cant supply enough power. Torroids are what "squeel" most often.

I have a monster PSU (PC Power & Cooling). Arguably one of the best (and most expesive) on the market. It holds rail voltages rock solid. I don't think it can be the PSU.

Assuming its not the PSU, what weak link do I look at next? Torroids???

torroids, capacitors, and mosfet used to deliver voltage to the memory.

I dont think TCCD does well under Intel. I don't even think that VX does that well under Intel, but I'm not sure about that one. I think the intel king for memory is still BH-5.

VX and TCCD do fine after playing with a bunch of options, just not at "stock" 100% of the time.

hmmmm so whats the real world impact of 2.5-3-3 to 3-4-4?

can somebody bench 3dmark2001 and 2003 with both settings at the same speed?
