pc ice is really going all out.
What board and ram is he using
dam that's fast :)
Great Job you crazy (insert slang name here)!
I now see why you never answer your Phone.
thats amazing!!!
Nice overclock!
wow, impressive for sure!
Cooling???
Very nice work, as always.
Coolz...
BTW your Winnie was cooled by water or other extreme ingredient?
Curious to know coz i will be getting a 3500+ (939) tomorrow
Now struck between Newcastle 939 or Winnie
Going to cool it via phase change and afraid my upcoming Winnie will be shy of cold again
Same goes to my previous Winnie (Cant takeon cold)
So now planning to get a NC instead
Thx
is that a chiller
if its phase i will have to retract a lot of comments
why is the superpi score so high.
2.7-2.75 gets 30-31sec.
3.2 should be a lot lower with a 500mhz gap.
edit: bleh, didnt look at your third screenshot.
ok that sounds a lot better with 27sec :)
greatjob!
Yeah,
Great clocks. Wish I still had the WR Winnie....
However my new rig is fun, too.
nice :toast:
did you try it with an msi or an epox board by any chance? :)
nice clocks :D
Congrats for the WR Pcice, way to go
Those winchesters do clock nice dont they :D
Congrats on the amasing result!!! :toast:
So no clear cmos or boot up when above ambient tricks required? Just straight up BIOS clocking per usual?
fair play mate, any other benchmarks? are you actually running this 24/7?
Very nice result! :toast:
Nice clocks :toast:
Could you post a shot of that chip or tell us the week?
did u do anything specifically to beat the subzero bug?
or just get a lucky chip?
or do u think using the abit board bypassed that problem
and... congrats on the record, lets see some 3dmark
These Winchester are really strange! I can bench here watercooled at 2950MHz
but if i have an Vapo or something it could be that it maxed out with
2950MHz too! Something is wrong there! Boards/CPUs/ or something else? Dunno..
pc ice you are a sick sick man! I love it! :toast:
Memory controller is a big possibility tooQuote:
Boards/CPUs/ or something else?
You dont think is the msi bord thats :banana::banana::banana:s it?Quote:

yea same here. Is it good enough for 40k marks? Can you get your x800xt clocks higher too? 40k would deserve congras from all of us, especially me :slobber: :toast:
dude, will let u know soonQuote:

One of the 3 winnies i am receiving I hope should beat that :)
Fantastic! :toast:
on a64 memory speed doesnt matter much at all when compared to cpu speed
huh?Quote:

hey pc ice....you say your chip don't want to go highter with more vcore than 1.65v...mine seem to love vcore....with 1.65v my chip do around 3ghz and that climb when i turn up the vcore....maybe i'll try to vmod my Neo2
neo2 will give default near 1.8v with Winnie, why do Vmod?Quote:

because the max i can get are 1.76v....maybe my chip will go little bit highter with more voltQuote:

Can't compete with you guys, but I'm pretty happy with my 3000+. This is with aircooling (Hyper6). Normal room temps. Can't get any further with water. Wonder how it would do under a Prommy? Oh, by the way. Perfectly stable @ 2.8GHz. This is only a max MHz screenshot.
I find that each MHz ram is worth 3MHz cpu power. Thus when I go tccd and if I gain 66fsb, itll be like 200MHz more cpu clocks, therefore 266x9=2.4GHz would be as good as 13x10(if unlocked which mine isnt) or 290x9 with ram async at about 200. This is also why im matching my newcastle single channel cause im only 200fsb 2.5-3-3-7 vs. my 234fsb 2-2-2-x which my newcastle had bh5. once I go tccd I should me 200-300MHz faster than my old newcastle. is 40k marks possible with todays winchesters? Macci hit 34k with his all on air!
i'm not having much luck with my winchester, bench stable at 2.6ghz but no higher, and without being able to kill the OVP on my A8V i can't get my BH-5 the volts it needs :(
1.8 isn't enough.. :DQuote:

tommorow i will try for more then 3252mhz!!!
i will try to go outside with the prommy....maybe i will got some cold temp...it suppose to be -10 celcius with sun :D
awesome the .09 stuff is impressive, hopefully mine will be too
Heres a 3280 Mhz screeny....I ran this chip all the way up to 3.4 Ghz, and upon reboot, it died.
I also got a run at 3dmark at 3188....I think this chip would have been benchable at around 3.3 ghz.... damn my luck...

Thats alot of fast winnies. Keep pushing the borders. :)
i hope with more volt my cpu will pass 3280mhz
So theres no straight answer to wich mobo is the best betweene AV8 pro or the NEO2?
Tks.Quote:

pc_ice and chralie what bios u used with your vapo and asus a8v?
thx guys
Amazing!!!
30s in SuperPI like FX55 @ 2900mhz :)
Well... I just got a new 3200 to replace my world record 3500 that died...
This is my 5th Winnie, and like the other 4, it doesnt have any problem with being cold... It does however hate high fsb, which I always thought just depended on the mb/ram. This chip isnt stable at any htt over 260, and I have tried it on 2 different mbs, aircooled/frozen, and with different multis....wierd...I pull it out, throw in my 3000, and 335 htt no prob.....oh well...looks like another dud.
The chip is a week 44 rpaw if anyone is interested....
Damn nice Pcice!!
what was done to this abit that made it so awesome pcice?
i was under the impression that abits latest entries since the nf7 have been ****
How would this matter with agp/pci lock. Or is it that the AGP PCI isn't flawless yet on the 939 boards?Quote:

Thank you so much for your welcoming Team Japan.

Thanks again for your hearty courteousness.

Great job. Those are some crazy overclocks... :slobber: :slobber:
Hope both of ya go higher.
Good luck pc_ice. Hopefully, this'll turn out to be really good. :)
Sorry for the delayed response as was tied up with other things lately.
First of all, thank you so much pc ice and OPPAINTER for initiating this challenge...
Really feel like good old Xtreme time....
BTW, what's happened to the members here-- looks like there are so many members who have lost the dignity and spirit of Overclocker viewing from other threads posted by fellow Overclockers of the other part of the world recently.
So many commentators and critics-- Are they really overclocking their rigs to be a Xtreme Overclocker?
Am I the only one concerned about it?--I hope not. :D
PRTeamJapan aka fredyama
Nope, Xtreme is still X no matter how you see it. Nice oc.....keep it up the good oc :toast:Quote:

or do you mean kt800 'pro' chipset...
oh they both use the 'pro' chipset.
PC_Ice you cap modding another mobo for this?
