2600 Mobile @ 2.82ghz ON AIR

lol just got this chip and it keeps going and going and going. all on a SP-97 and thnx to the cold air down here in TX :D

gonna run 3dmark and see if she can pull through. :) does 36 sec sound about right for that speed?

pretty sure its a IQYHA 0401XPMW. 245x11.5 @ 1.925vcore in bios, 3.2vdimm, 1.7vdd. temp @ 41 C. (I think my LP-B is dying.. any fsb over 245 "disables" my pc and it acts like a 1ghz comp. for example at 246x11.5 my superpi would be like 52 sec)

Oh wow!! I'm so jealous!! I can only get to 2400Mhz on mine :( I might get another and sell this one on ebay though.

Nice man. That extra fsb really helps. i was able to get my athlon up to 2.8 but the memory controller was garbage (hey just like my winnie!!) so i couldnt get higher that 225 fsb on it.

for super pi i got 37 or 38 at 2.8 so u are looking good.

i have the same stepping but mine only does 2.68 :(

A64 = on-die mem controller, AXP = not. :rolleyes:

Mine's IQYHA too. Guess I have a bit of a 'dud' chip. I'm only using a Zalman flower cooler though. It posts at 2500 but refuses to get to Windows unless I give it 1.825V and then isn't stable. Strange because it runs 2400 solidly at just 1.675-1.7V.

Good going, my 2500M needed 2.1v to hit 2.8Ghz on air 3D stable.

2500M 0409, "i" stepping... gets to windows benchable @ 2642 on 1.775v, this is memtest, on same voltage @ 2.866... The chip needs burning in to higher voltage, above 1.85 ish it wont boot on ANY clockspeed.... cooling is thermalright ALX800.
Theres more to come from this chip too... Pitty its me housemates though, dont get the playtime required to fully max it :(

Even SuperPi 32M is not really a stability check, it could be stable at 2,6 or even less.

I just made this thread because 2.82ghz on a mobile on air isnt something u see everyday, not because I wanted to show how much "trouble" ive been through. :rolleyes:

How cold was the air? I can't reliably boot over ~1.9vcore, but it is probably my PSU. I can hit that speed, not stable, and hit that fsb, also not stable, but this is at 40c and my psu is not very good. I hope to try the cold air this winter. Your Super Pi looks right, at 2.78ghz, I got 37 seconds.

Not bad. Mine only does 2.6 on Air! Have to buy Water Cooling!!!

IQYHA0352RPMW and IQYHA0401XPMW ... are ocing XP-M dream :D

XP-M can be most fun processor ever, relatively cheap, ample performance and they really fly!

My chip does actually do 2800 Mhz prime stable @ 1.78v, but with Prommy though :)

superpi not great? your clocked at over 10 FSB higher than me and your superpi is 1 sec faster. Im not saying mines fast.. but wow :stick:

I have also 0401XPMW,aircooled with ALX800.On DFI NF2 Ultra400,I can do Aquamark with 240x12=2886MHz.Have a look at the webpage.On Superpi,i get 35sec. :D

Not to rain on your parade, but I think you could shave off a second or so from your Super Pi by getting rid of your wallpaper image, disabling some services, disabling page file, closing explorer.exe, and closing any other progs you can. With about the same speed on my XP-M 2500+ and 10MHz FSB less I can get 36s (This was in Win XP, but I hear Win 2K is faster for Super Pi.)

Nifty clokcs you got. Wish I had a board that was as good as yours though. Can only reach 220 fsb. And that's not stable. The cpu goes to about 2680 superpi stable. Sp97 and a 2400+ XP-M on a NF7-s v2.0. DFI here I come :)

like mcnbns says.... play with your OS a little bit... might wanna try 2003 Server also...

Thats true,the DFI is a great board.Together with the 0401XPMW its the optimal hardware on Socket A.But,I think,2,9 GHz is the Limit for the XP-M2600.

maybe if the newcastle is a stock 3400+ at 200fsb. a 2GHz claw at 200fsb will edge ahead of a 2.6GHz barton at 225fsb so that means a little over 2.2GHz newcastle at 200fsb to match 2.6GHz barton at 225fsb. anyway nice clocks for a moble barton. I did go strait from tbred to a64, bartons werent fast enough for me when I saw that a stock a64 starts where oced bartons leave off from so I had a 2800+ a64 after tbred and I loooooooooove a64s to pieces :slobber:
