On vapo .. i go
ALl tests done on stock volts.
4.2 crashed after 30 mins or so :(
my mach is making ticking tocking noises
must investigate.
I guess this cpu has much more.
Possible 4.5 gig ..... :slobber:
I wanna see how the Prescott E0 478s do. Go for it ibby!
give her more voltage :)
the 3.2 EO will probbly get to 4200 stable or 4300
i would rather pick up a 3.8 EO for 400 in a few months
but by then the intel will 2mb cache in all its chips
haha
and the os isn't clear...very nice "toy" ibby! :toast:
Where was this purchased from? I am debating whether i should update my intel rig to 775 or stick with 478, seeing as though i would then need to also purchase ddr2/pci-e gphx/mobo.
yes only 1.3v is ridiculous
put 1.5 and more please :D
Iam based in the UK.
I got it from a uk based supplier and it was OEM.
Is is the stock mach 1 unit.
I am not sure how much more it can take.
| am idling in + tempratures now.
The IC7 Max 3. Does it overread / underrread the temps ?
and are they read from the socket ? or a diode from the cpu ?
What memory do u guys recommend to use with, my ic7 max 3,
that does high FSB but low volts.
Ibby
I think the IC7 series in general are known to report way too high temps. Something like 10c above the actual temp. :)Quote:

To "easy" get fx 250 1:1 at pretty low volts something like 2.9-3.0 then i would get the Crucial Ballistix.
It's been a while since i used Intel so please get some Intel-dude to confirm.
Nice OC btw :D
my pc4000 giel does 260fsb ish
and then craps out.
so i really need sumat which will hit
260+ at low volts. 2.8v 2.9v
I have to run the 5:4 divider, and iam only hitting
21k on 3d mark 2001.
really I should be hitting more than that. - Well I think so.
(9800pro)
right guys, after some of your loving, and encoraging me to up the volts,
here is what I got.
Notice Idle and load temps. I managed to get to windows at 4.4 gig, but was crashing.
SO didnt bother with a screeney ..
Memory running at 5:4 2.9v
cpu volts 1.5125 > in the BIOS.
I need better cooling. "stable so far in windows, just under 1 hour" with CPU burn.
If I could achive lower temps at the core / load then i could get more FSB.
Screenies
Max voltage used 1.5125 > looking into regass now :p:
Do u know if overclockers.co.uk has some E0 in stock?
dont know. are u wanting one ?
Ill see if i can find some one with them in stock.
Dood, you have a Vapo - put 1.6 through it! :stick:Quote:

Let me know cpulloverclock if you want it.
ill tell him to save it for you.

:( charlie next time u get a cpu along those lines.
i want to buy one :)
My Giel mmeory has developed a fault.
Its got errors on it :(
so no overclocking now
any idea when these e0's will be available at say... newegg or zipzoomfly?
i know the market is knida saturated with d0's.. i'm guess this is why we havn't seen them yet?
I'm cursed
as i've seen your impressive sigs before =), i must ask... what mod have you done to your Vapo PE to get your 3.4E D0 to 5.443ghz? any voltage mods? and what board? :)Quote:

Separate question, Does anyone know if Newegg carries E0 P4E chips? :D
Well they carry the "J" stepping 775's, but you can't tell from their site if they have the 478 E0's. :(Quote:

too hard to find a 478 E0
too bad
<IamAnoobieCheez> new gas, R23 and new compressor
I got mine from here: http://memoryexpousa.com/noname44.html 3.2E SL7PN. Mine is running happy and stable as hell at 4010Mhz. I think this CPU would do more, but the IC7 max 3 is holding it back. Does not provide enough power to the CPU... I think most Socket 478 boards will have this problem as they were not intended for Prescott in the first place.
great but I want the same in 3.4 :mad:Quote:

If you've read this you'll know why. The voltage reached your cpu is like 0.4v below the value you set.Quote:

Are there any 478 mobo's that DON"t need a droop mod to supply enough juice? I cant void the warranty of these boards here.. I CAN buy any motherboard available ;)
