wow, wonder how they got it lol. Shoulda put in the good deals section though. Wish I saw this a few months ago, then I'd have matching sticks
OMFG ! This is what some might call - back from the deads !
NICE FIND !
god im wondering how they got these, maybe they saved a little bit of stock?
or maybe they were saving sticks for warranty replacment so they could replace 222 sticks with 222 sticks, but now they dont need them because TCCD will do just as well for RMA purposes...
who knows, im definetly really close to dropping down some cash...

hmmmm HMMMMMMMM
i dont know why but i just bought a gig :(
so whats so great with those sticks? Its PC3200 with good timings. Any reviews?
I might order some if they are impressive

just search for "BH-5" and you will see

How much do they overclock? Can they do 300+ fsb?
I'm not sure about high fsb overclocks. But with about 3.3-3.5v you can get most between 340-370fsb at 2-2-2 timings
Edit: I meant 240-270, sorry I didn't catch it sooner :stick:
errr
240-270 maybe?

thing about KHX3000 is that it used both bh-5/bh-6, so you dont get bh-5 guranteed, anyways, im going to buy 2x256 and see if i can break 260 in this NF2 :)
edit - just placed my order :)
time to bust out the soldering iron on this infinity :)
Wow, me wants so bad :( Sucha good deal
I placed my order right after I read your message. Ordered 2x 256 mb but are you sure its 340-370 fsb?? If you meant 240-270 fsb with timing 2-2-2, whats the absolute max with that memory?Quote:

Minor volts. Riiiiiiiiiight. close to 300 at 2-2-2 would require 3.7-3.9v

Yes. It will give your ram up to 3.4v per ocz motherboard compatibility sheet.
http://www.ocztechnology.com/display...ocompatibility
ok, thanks. Will order that too :D
uhhh.....not that high.Quote:

3.3 - 3.6v = 230 - 260 or so @ 2-2-2-5 (usually on average)
yeah i get 240 2225 with my khx3000 at 3.2(CPC off, so it performs like 215cpc on :(), im hoping for more out of this, not only that, i need an fsb rig... maybe instead of getting my 1.8a a new mobo ill just throw together an A64 rig...
/sigh
waste of money buy the new Voltage Lovers OCZ Memory
i disagree :)
though for 512mb sticks i would agree
thats what i meant! I got 2x256 BH5!
yeh after convincing myself, I cancelled the order for it :p
god now im having second thoughts too...
hrmmmmmmm
edit - well its only $138 and i need 2x256 to run this axp rig fast anyways... 2x512 just doesnt work...
lol, ordered it purely because I was away from computers when BH-5 was around :)
This is a good deal for those people who want BH5. Me? I'm buying Corsair BH5 used. I have 4 gigs of it. Why? Dunno.

If its just for gaming and everyday usage its a big waste of money...
Latency gives next to 0 performance in games...
Unless you are playing with a 6800U or X800XT in 800x600 with no detail or sumthin...
Edit: otherwise i would go for it... I had 2x256 of these and they did 239Mhz 2-2-2-5@2.8v...
But sadly i needed to have 1GB... So i just sold em and got 2x512 modules of PC4000 since i saw a couple reviews where every single 1 stated that timings dont add performance in games...
One good reason would be for Nostaliga reasons the last new BH-5 sold!!
Great collector item. :banana2:

clsed for holiday :S
Seems like I was able to order one before they closed for holiday.
I've got my orderconfirmation and all
Indeed I was wrong. I remember reading a post when I was looking for these on ebay (when I couldnt find em anywhere else) that said this guy did it at like 3.2 :|. But looking now I guess it was a sales pitch *shrugs*
Well the final price for 2x 256 mb sticks came to about $175 :P (with the 10% discount) but it doesn't matter since I live in sweden, it is cheap :) (about $115 in american dollars if it was 5 years ago)
yikes, that some sick shipping, mine awas $138
geeze nextro....i could have sent mine KHX3200/256*2 for less :P
Interesting:DQuote:

I'm gunna have to check back with them and see what's up with this BH-5 deal.
OPP
that would be awesome if they would let you switch that in for some more bh-5..
guess i was wrong heh...
Maybe they took all the bad RMAed sticks and repaired them and threw them up for sale:D
OPP
Could it be possible that OCZ VX uses the same chips?
IMHO only the Bh5-Chips can be given up to 3.6V
But I am waiting for the first reviews. I got my Geil UltraX just 3 weeks ago.
gonna get one pair :)
no hardware freak, for 2 reasons
1 - the ocz sticks need 3.2 volts just for 2225 at DDR400, somethine BH-5 does with 2.5volts
2 - ocz said that the new IC's were not of limited availability, BH-5 is all but extinct
opp, that sounds pretty likely, or maybe they took all of the good IC's off of the RMA'd sticks, because odds are one bad IC can make a whole stick bad, so no sense in throwing away the whole stick right?
Hes mistaken , 340-370 would be nice but I think he means 240-270
I can't find them?
Sooner or later someone will come up with newer, faster and better memory chip. Then bh5 will be forgotten.
They haven't taken any money from my credit card yet. What can it mean? The ram that I ordered was out of stock?
@ OPP
Your MSI Neo does NOT work well with TCCD???
Mine wouldn't do anything even remotely high with the BH-5. Same RAM was awesome on NF2. Booster didn't help at all. Did you Vdimm mod the board?
oh.. haha, your rightQuote:

I promise were working on it , :-)
thats why ocz rocks... wish you guys still had some bh-5 because id much rather buy it from you then stupid mushkin.
mushkin doesnt charge your card until they ship as far i i know.

Yeah, Mushkin makes very good memory. OZC does as well of course :)
because ocz is better as a company, and id much rather give them my money, i only bought mushkin because they are the only seller :)
So Mushkin is stupid because you THINK OCZ is a better company?
:toast:
kind of messed up logic isnt it?
:toast:
it looks as if its already sold out, shame to i just got the money....
mine shipped today :)
bought time, pshhh at that closed for the holiday garbage...
fed ex rules btw, the mushkin will be here wed, and the reciever i ordered that shiiped on friday via ups isnt going to be here till thursday, weak sauce ups, and the ups is coming from closer too.
Mine arrived today. Black Heatsinks, looks like. I didn't open the cellophane, it is dark so it is hard to see what color they are.
man when did you order, that kind of upsets me, as i ordered wed and they just shipped today.
bah after i sent the email with my address phone and email saying i want to cancel, they still send it out, resulting in going over my credit card limit :p

240 @ 3.2v 2-2-2-5 on my KHX 3000, im hoping for more on this though...
i need more volts
Hell...far as I know they could be DOA. I haven't had time to play with them yet! Hopefully tomorrow. :(Quote:

ok mines cominhg at 4 today, ill let oyu konw how it goes asap.
damn its double sided, i thought that all 256mb modules were SS dimms, but ive got 4 IC's on each side of the ram, is this normal for mushkin?
Isn't that still considered "single bank", and therefore more desirable for OCing. My understanding is as long as it is just 8 ICs than that is considered "single bank". Whether or not the DRAM chips are on both sides or on one side isn't important. At least that is my take on it. I certainly could be wrong. Perhaps someone with definitive knowledge on it will pipe in here.

Yeah id like to know...
anyways, for some early results right now im running 250x10 on my NFII
2-2-2-11
3.3v
i started with 240 3.3v, and its already had an error free pass at 250 in memtest...
time to go to 260 ^_^
im so happy right now, on my 512 sticks of bh-5 i could only hit 240in DC with CPC off, CPC is still on and im at 250 :)
edit - i was going to vmod this board, but if im already getting 250 im wondering how much extra vdimm is going to help my FSB, i guess maybe alot as my NB is still at stcok volts, and from my experiance NB voltage helps alot on this board (like 10-15 mhz with my 512sticks)
*edit - what the proper burn in for BH-5 again? its been so long... should i just leave it running 200x13 at 3.3 222 for a few days?
or use memtest #5 till you hit few errrors, leave it running 6 hours....raise few mhz and redo again....
few errors = belowe 100
i guess that means i shouuld have left it running in 260, will do buddy.
Thanks TEDY :)
few errors mean like under 100 after 30 passes or under 100 per pass?
after 45 passes i have 650 errors, is that right???
YES NOT RIGHT
let say 10 passes and check if under 100 errors
