4.please do seriously compare the difference between previous and the one I will send you.

I just took down my entire mach I about an hour ago and going back to air with this combo because of this issue, what a pain in the ars. I was going to rma the chip anyway but still it's troublesome.

May I grab a copy too dont know when I will install it going away tomorrow for a couple of weeks but I will try it when I get back from hols

Interesting... bios temp do reads way high now... but doesn't lock up (newcastle atm)
Just shipped my winne out today so I guess I will have to wait again... :P
My guess is the lockup issue is gone since board is running with "high" temp.
Shouldn't have spent the money on buying 2 sets of TCCD sigh... someone's 3ghz winnie probably is gone by the time when I am ready... -_-;

PS) Stability seems fine for now. Gonna hard test few things I couldn't.

Onepagebook, you mentioned this might help users who can't get to high FSB. I'm currently having issues with reaching even *low* FSB with my double-sided BH5 :D

can someone confirm this bios fixes the booting / freezing cold temp issue?

I'm having problems overklocking my 3500+ NC.
It´s only stable at 2450MHz in prime95.
This bios might help me a lot with stability and higher FSB.

Isn't that what a bios savior is for? (Also got LOTS of spare bios chips) :D . Heck hot flashed 1.3b6 in a vnf-250 B4 I got my winnie, still using it!

Stuck @ aroud 270-275 using 2 diff winnies and 4 diff TCCD sticks (2 pqi + 2 Gskill) :bsod: :brick:

All options looks same as 1.3 bios. meaning 10%. I would be hard pressed to worry about the other 8.3% as I found out that nets me measly 50mhz. (to top it off @ 3.1ghz prime stable :P) And It DID prime @ same setting as 1.36 or 1.3 or 1.35 for me. Will try more agressive setting today. (need to get cash for winnie.. heh... buy my eb guys :P)

Reverted back to 1.36b still errors using memtest @275HTT.Same results as before.I did try all vdimm voltages and 2.65 gives the least errors.So for me it made no difference.Looking forward to buying a new ati or dfi board.Many Thanks to onepagebook for the beta bios.

I'd love to know what the new bios does if anyone has tried it out yet. I'm running the 1.3b6 on my Neo2 Platinum right now. Best I've been able to do is 270FSB (2.7 GHz) on my 3500+ Winnie. That was with PQI Turbo PC3200 at 1:1, 2-2-2-5 on air.

But it's not Prime95 stable and nothing -- looser memory timings, vCore, vDimm -- seems to get me past 270 without bringing on the BSOD.

dunno if it finally helps , but may worth a try , with my winbond and 2.85v , cant do more than 200mhz and aggressive timmings, when on a friend's dfi lp ut 250 , with that voltage could do 220+

NS, I too want to know this. I have PQI Turbo and it will only do about 215 with 2-2-2-5 timing.

Has anyone tried watercooling the Northbridge on the Taiwan Chips to get over 270 FSB?

Not a single person with cold boot issue has tried this bios?

I'll be picking up a K8N Neo2 Platinum and a 3000+ on Friday or Saturday. I'm interested to check out this BIOS as well.

So, is anyone tweaking with this BIOS yet and notice anything worthwhile? Or does it just help out with the low overclocking issues?

Well.. some improves there, now is doing pi 4mb at 340 FSB, with the 137B I couldn't do it at more than 320 (still asyncronous of course).

Err... my initial assumption might not be correct on this to fix cold boot issue. Just trying diff bios out and found out same temp behaviors still exists... so there might not have been any code change in that part.

Well flashed the bios, first i was disappointed as i got the same results using any bios.

Well i was suspecting the following prior to using this bios:

1) Compability issue with Neo2 and XL Pros
2) Dud Dimm 2 (as using dimms 3&4 was much better)
3) Dud Neo2 full stop

I know my XL Pros are good as i ram memtest86+ at 250Mhz, 32 passes test 1-7 and 250 passes test #5.

Using dimms 1&2, HTT240*4HT CPU10x 1.55vcore 2.85vdimm 2.5-3-3-10 1T
First i tried Super_pi 32M calculation and nothing
Tried dropping HTT to 230, still problems.

I was about to give up and then i remembered that dimm 2 might be a dud.

Using dimms 3&4, HTT240*4HT CPU10x 1.55vcore 2.85vdimm 2.5-3-3-10 1T
Was able to run Super_pi 32M calculation and priming right now!

So the bios seemed to fix few things for me, as i never could complete 32M calculation in super_pi using dimms 3&4 or 1&2.

Well im not happy that dimm 2 seems a dud so im thinking of rma this board and getting a new Neo2 as with this bios it seems that there isnt a problem with Neo2 and XL Pros.

Im going to prime for a good 12 hrs and hopefully i havent spoken too soon but im my experience if i can pass super_pi 32M calculation then it should be alright.

Appears to have helped stability at high htt....
Thank you very much onepagebook...this 3000+ might still be useful after all...

Before anything over 315 htt caused random lockups...
Now it appears pretty stable upto 335x9 ;)

It also seems to have helped running memory with the 150mhz divider, as that wasnt stable at all before....
