these are with 3.1 volts Just FYI

The 875 bench is a P4800 and the NF3 is the DFI.

Very impressive frequencies, although I was hoping to see more bandwidth. Regardless, this RAM looks very promising considering these were your initial benches.

Try to remeber the DFI is a single channel motherboard ;-) when looking at the scores. The highest Dual Channel bench we tried was CL 2 @ 550

So how soon is the voltmaster ram going to come out? I heard PR will be out this week. Does that mean it has been shipped? Or does this mean it's going to be a while. Wow man this is getting tricky, just when the choice between 3200 and 3700 seemed hard enough to decide between now comes the 4200. The 3200 defaults at 2.75, 3700 at 2.8, and now the 4200 is back down to 2.75 volts. So which is the best overall? If they are all using the new TCCD then they are all pretty much the same except for the speed bin?

Hey Guys,

Just so you all know, the benches on the DFI were using a Sempron. That is why the bandwidth seems on the low side. The lack of cache coupled with the fact that I can't get this sucker over 2.2GHz pretty much kills the bandwidth scores. (We burned our 754 in some other tests so have to make due with the sempron until we get a replacement :p: )

So you should be able to get better scores using a better CPU.

well, so 4300ish on the dfi at 320, 2t and if i'm not mistaken a 5multi, so very low cpu speed? that should mean at 2.5Ghz or whatever instead you'd have some major scores there?

These modules are pretty killer. The TCCD choice just got much harder.

I'm assuming they are in production already and should be shipping next week once we are all moved into the new office.

I am really just trying to max out these new units units knowing that increased voltage can help

highest 1T we got was 300 2.5-3-3 but I used a 5x mult ( in a hurry )
so the bench is less than impressive , with a 8x mult we would be getting really high scores

These are released and should be showing up in stores monday or tuesday of next week.

Now keep in mind I have been benching with high voltages :banana:

for me it does, yes.
some chips like voltage more than others, some respond to looser timings more than others... for the average user it wouldn't matter at all... but most users don't buy memory simply to overclock the cr@p out of it either, this forum is a bit different.
Most guys on this forum dont buy memory without doing research on it first, with the amount of money we pay for products I think it's only fair we know.
Even if you dont tell us, the first person to pull the heatspreaders off will inform us...

I'm running my I875 setup with TCCD right now.. 270mhz 2.5-4-3-5 is the best I can do stable, if these new modules can do 275mhz with 2-3-3-x timings, I would dump these modules and get those in an instant!

this looks like great stuff, perhaps its time to upgrade my 3200eb, actually it was time 5 months ago :stick: I haven't been around here for a while and this other ram thats not out yet sounds really exciting too!

Cl=2 doesn't make any difference especially comparing it with 2.5. And the tests with 875 were with pat off. Can u do some tests with more voltage>3.2 pat on and 2,2,2,5?

Yup I know cas does next to nothing.

Right now the OCZ main office is changing buildings so I doubt you will see any more posts from Ryan or Eric until Monday since all the gear is just being unpacked.

I would assume that on the A64 they will clock like the pc3200 plat and pc3700 plat did but slightly better. There are lots of posts from Tony and others with those same setups so do a search to tide you over till some new benches can be done

Wow, this TCCD is really making some money!

We take a truckload of TCCD chips, test them and if we find them to be average we put them on the Platinum rev2 3200EL.

If they are pretty good we'll put them onto the pc3700.

If they like high voltage we put them on these new wonder sticks!

I'm starting to get why my rev2 isn't doing DDR600..... :(

I hope that is not the case. Because I am going to purchase some Platinum rev2 3200EL next week. I just am hoping for the new die revision. Isn't it possible that 3200 gets some great TCCD as well? I am more interested in DDR 500 at 2-2-2-5 then just DDR 600.

If you want DDR500 at 2-2-2-5, you should get BH5.

Any parts that people would not be satisfied with go into a much cheaper product than the rev 2 , just a FYI . Thats why OCZ has such a great reputation for releasing good products and backing them up with our outsatnding warranty service , I am sure many people can attest to that.


If we wanted to we could ship a a TCCD product with no hand testing ( automated testing only) and have the same 2-2-2 speeds everyone else does , while cutting our costs

We would not lower the quality of any product , but I am sure many people appreciate the fact that we offer the ability to be able to buy the best of the best product.

I just have to say... OCZ is the best company for overclocking equipment, period. You guys should make CPUs. :D

Sorry for coming on strong onto OCZ last night.
I was tired, a little drunk and jealous at guys who did DDR 600 with this RAM.
I guess buying PC3200 RAM is not the best way to get PC4800 speeds. ;)

Ditto. If you honestly think about it hit and miss factor minimized, even with premium attached in end comes out cheaper than cycling through components. Don't CPU's speed rating based on this anyway? :)
