ok guys initial benches , I as usual only had a few moments to get them so forgive the poor quality
these are with 3.1 volts Just FYI
The 875 bench is a P4800 and the NF3 is the DFI.
300Mhz is 1t in case your wondering

Is this RAM using TCCD?
hynix i think, iono tho
650 2.5-4-4-10 2T Single channel in the same DFI 250 motherboard.
Very impressive frequencies, although I was hoping to see more bandwidth. Regardless, this RAM looks very promising considering these were your initial benches.
:toast:
is this the TCCD that did even better than the PC3700EL Platinum?
when will they be on sale?
Looks great anyway, well done OCZ
Wow! 275MHz at 2-3-3 on i875P :slobber:
When will this be available?
Try to remeber the DFI is a single channel motherboard ;-) when looking at the scores. The highest Dual Channel bench we tried was CL 2 @ 550
Later down the line we will install the booster and play more
:toast:
Is this that "voltmaster" memory you posted about ?
Nano , Nope the "voltmaster" is a product thats in early development We will keep you informed though , if we are able to make that product in large enough quantity to keep the price reasonable.
wow.... amazing new memory ocs day by day... who said DDR was dead? :D
That sorta makes me a little upset my 1 week old EL3200 rev2 now look like they are dated . :(Quote:

Ryan and guys, is the "voltmaster" ever going to be better than BH-5, your initial benches make it seem very voltage hungry.
Warranty at what volts by the way? I've got 4 itching volts and ram watercooling to give them hell with, don't dissapoint me.
Tccd ?
Take from the OCZ forums:Link It is using the new Hynix Chips
Edit: Nevermind - Those are 4400EL Chips.
great, some competition for micron and samsung will keep things interesting... probably means they are not voltage lovers tho...
Guys the DFI bench will probably be low as lots of the tweaks were not applied...im sure if i got my hands on these modules we would be seeing 4700+ easy ;)
is this a better choice than the 3700 platinum?

Wow man this is getting tricky, just when the choice between 3200 and 3700 seemed hard enough to decide between now comes the 4200. The 3200 defaults at 2.75, 3700 at 2.8, and now the 4200 is back down to 2.75 volts. So which is the best overall? If they are all using the new TCCD then they are all pretty much the same except for the speed bin?
damn, does this ram like volts at all? how will it compare to tccd both at max speed?
:DQuote:

Hey Guys,
Just so you all know, the benches on the DFI were using a Sempron. That is why the bandwidth seems on the low side. The lack of cache coupled with the fact that I can't get this sucker over 2.2GHz pretty much kills the bandwidth scores. (We burned our 754 in some other tests so have to make due with the sempron until we get a replacement :p: )
So you should be able to get better scores using a better CPU.
Just FYI :)
Ok guys , More benches I played a bit more today after work
Maybe eric and tony can come in and get some actual high benchmarks for ya , but I dont have time to tweak to much
These are on the same DFI board
582 CL 2-4-3
and 640 @ 2.5-4-3 2T
nice ocs while the bandwidth could do some tweaking on DFI board ..
any possibility of 1T... or is it completely unstable?
well, so 4300ish on the dfi at 320, 2t and if i'm not mistaken a 5multi, so very low cpu speed? that should mean at 2.5Ghz or whatever instead you'd have some major scores there?
Sooo, no comment on availablity time frame? :D
These modules are pretty killer. The TCCD choice just got much harder.
I'm assuming they are in production already and should be shipping next week once we are all moved into the new office.
Can you give us some more P4 bench results and details on the P4 system?
can i trade my 3700EB in plus cash to get some of this memory that does ddr650 :D
ryanpgroovy whats the cpu multi during these benchies?
Whow how many ocz employees are in this forum? As you can see the most of guys here are interested in the 2,2,2,5 @260 "the voltage lovers". So tell us about this stuff
These are all at low mult , no tweaks on - I barely get any time in the lab and I have to do these after work , so I spend all my time going for pure speed
I am really just trying to max out these new units units knowing that increased voltage can help
Best we got on the 875 in dual channel was 275 2-3-3 with the voltage jacked up on a beat up old Asus P4C800.
highest 1T we got was 300 2.5-3-3 but I used a 5x mult ( in a hurry )
so the bench is less than impressive , with a 8x mult we would be getting really high scores
These are released and should be showing up in stores monday or tuesday of next week.
Now keep in mind I have been benching with high voltages
ryanpgroovy what voltage for that 300mhz?
3.1
Tccd or something else?
Does it matter?Quote:

Most guys on this forum dont buy memory without doing research on it first, with the amount of money we pay for products I think it's only fair we know.
Even if you dont tell us, the first person to pull the heatspreaders off will inform us...
no offence intended, jus telling it how i see it
I'm interested about that too. Please, someone from OCZ inform us, it's no big deal.Quote:

I was looking for one from his lordship but all the good ones seem to be taken and then this little gem croped up.
I'm running my I875 setup with TCCD right now.. 270mhz 2.5-4-3-5 is the best I can do stable, if these new modules can do 275mhz with 2-3-3-x timings, I would dump these modules and get those in an instant!
I'm sold :DQuote:

this looks like great stuff, perhaps its time to upgrade my 3200eb, actually it was time 5 months ago :stick: I haven't been around here for a while and this other ram thats not out yet sounds really exciting too!
ps, kanavit is a strange strange guy.........probably advices bush on policy making and stuff. :toast:

So the OCZ PC-4200 Platinum that does 275Mhz 2-3-3-x on I875 is coming out in a few days?
any ideas on Uk pricing?
Any ideas on US pricing? At any rate, I'm going to wait to see how other A64 users do with this RAM. If I'm impressed, I'll consider implementing these in the 939 rig I plan on building in January.Quote:

uf that means around 350$ for 2*512...
Wow thats expensive...lol, suppose I should start saving now.
lol you think that's is expensive try buying OCZ ram in Australia thanks to our GST 10% tax and disty markups etc etc lolQuote:

Now imagine that in Portugal, but keep in mind that the salaries are way lower.Quote:

Cl=2 doesn't make any difference especially comparing it with 2.5. And the tests with 875 were with pat off. Can u do some tests with more voltage>3.2 pat on and 2,2,2,5?Quote:

I would assume that on the A64 they will clock like the pc3200 plat and pc3700 plat did but slightly better. There are lots of posts from Tony and others with those same setups so do a search to tide you over till some new benches can be done
Wow, this TCCD is really making some money!
We take a truckload of TCCD chips, test them and if we find them to be average we put them on the Platinum rev2 3200EL.
If they are pretty good we'll put them onto the pc3700.
If they like high voltage we put them on these new wonder sticks!
I'm starting to get why my rev2 isn't doing DDR600..... :(
I hope that is not the case. Because I am going to purchase some Platinum rev2 3200EL next week. I just am hoping for the new die revision. Isn't it possible that 3200 gets some great TCCD as well? I am more interested in DDR 500 at 2-2-2-5 then just DDR 600.Quote:

Zeus ,
Any parts that people would not be satisfied with go into a much cheaper product than the rev 2 , just a FYI . Thats why OCZ has such a great reputation for releasing good products and backing them up with our outsatnding warranty service , I am sure many people can attest to that.
If we wanted to we could ship a a TCCD product with no hand testing ( automated testing only) and have the same 2-2-2 speeds everyone else does , while cutting our costs
That would certainly be a more profitable scenario for OCZ . The cost of labor in California is pretty high.
We would not lower the quality of any product , but I am sure many people appreciate the fact that we offer the ability to be able to buy the best of the best product.
So please dont go around trying to make OCZ sound like the bad guy for offering a service to people.
I just have to say... OCZ is the best company for overclocking equipment, period. You guys should make CPUs. :D
We only wish we were big enough to make CPUs that is a multi-billion dollar proposition
setup an OCZ Australian office/factory/ram testing for cheaper labour and better distro timeliness in the Asian/Oceanic region hehe :DQuote:

Ryan I commend you and OCZ for all your help and support :toast: . Living in Arizona I understand the whole labor thing, because in AZ wages are sh*t compared to california. It's hard nowadays to find a company that cares more about the product and enduser then the bottem line! In the computer world I much rather give my hard earned money to OCZ then anybody else, and thats my bottem line!!!
Sorry for coming on strong onto OCZ last night.Quote:

I guess buying PC3200 RAM is not the best way to get PC4800 speeds. ;)
Does OCZ make cheap TCCD Ram also?
Never knew that.
I'm still puzzled why i can't run this mem at DRAM Drive Strength level 1 or 2.
Gonna get me a new CPU and if i still cannot get DDR600 stable, this OCZ ram will be on sale.
Again apologies to everyone who felt offended by my post yesterday.
I know this is off topic but damn zeus EVERYTIME I read your posts I can't stop staring at that picture of brittany spears :slobber: Where did you get it?

is this the same RAM? because it says CAS 2.5
Yes its rated 2.5-3-3 @ 533
We try to rate conservatively
remeber we have been posting these benches with the voltage at 3.1 ect , and average folks dont really push the ram very hard

I wish I could get 2.8, Yeah don't laugh to hard, LMFAO!. I'm to scare to run DDR booster in my mobo.
Where is Zues. Im getting tired of scrolling up the page so far to see britany!
Great work ocz, nice to see a busniess putting in some hard work to give us some damm fast ram which just wasnt available mid this year. Alot of people will be able to build some very fast systems early next year and I hope you will be able to surprise us with some faster ram befor then :P
Hopefully your top of the line mem wont go too far over $700 aud by then.
Ditto. If you honestly think about it hit and miss factor minimized, even with premium attached in end comes out cheaper than cycling through components. Don't CPU's speed rating based on this anyway? :)Quote:
