One thing to mention... it's kind of like a sneak-peak at one of the contests within the contest.

(and just to be clear, "borged" means "installed D²OL as a service so the owner of the machine doesn't really know it's there") :D

I've got a good idea, I just now have to find the time to implement it.

And let's just steer totally clear of corporate servers! Even if you have permission... the boss isn't going to be happy if you overheat and toast a server! Just don't do it... we need cpu cycles but we don't need them at the cost of personal/business loss.

Be smart... be clean... and be legit! If I read about someone from XS in the paper I'll hunt you down myself and slap the crap outta ya :slap:!!!!!!!!

Here are some basic rules. I'm a bit brain-fried right now so I just can't come up with anything else. :( If there are obvious things I'm missing, please let me know. :) And if there are issues that you think should be addressed, just shoot me a PM and we'll discuss it.

I included the XtremeSystems.org statements because officially... I have not approached anybody associated with XS.org about this contest. The lack of negative response made me assume that this contest is ok with XS.org. I still would like to keep those statements in the official rules because I feel it promotes the "team" aspect. I also do not want anything to come back against XS.org in case someone does something extremely stupid with the water setup or the CPU and fries their computer(or God forbid... themselves).

So, after saying that, here are the basics...

I'm going to change the drawing part a bit. Instead of actual paper tickets, people are going to get numbers in groups. The largest ticket winner will get the first group, say from 1-309, then the 2nd largest from 310-574, the 3rd from 575-690, etc. Then I'll have my son hit <enter> on http://www.random.org which will generate all the winning numbers.

My entire server is down. So no contest stats or sigs. I have no idea why it is down either....

i dont know how fast this client runs, but the contest ends in 3 days not much time for me, but was gonna run it on a machine that is not f@h kinda wanted to see how it ran

Run it anyway. The tickets are being rounded up so even if you just get one conformer in you'll get a ticket. ;)

ok i will run it on a machine tonight my amd2000 128mg ram, does it run pretty quick??? tobad i couldnt borg my work computers about 3 to 400 computers ranging from p3 366s to p4 2.0 and 2.6 gigs that would be some conformers lmao

I convinced somebody to start folding d2ol, LaXa, he wants to do it for a week and maybe longer :) His pc is a p3 1000Mhz hehe. Ill ask if he wants to register.

I didn't realize that XS.org required email verification to register. That kind of puts a damper on having people post here.

Hey Jeff got another to join itsaSHOthing emailed you and he is D2OL'in as I post. I got NOOB to get it but he is having problems with it, I'm trying to fix it with him now. Trying everything tryna get my ex-girl to get this on her MAC but D2OL doesnt like MACs I think, it wont let her enter an email addy for registration. :rolleyes:

Okay I finally got 3 new people to join our D2OL team just waiting for Jeff's confirmation, wardemon6969, itsashothing, and drew. Just waiting for drew's stats to update. All 3 have sent email to Jeff, great D2OL contest.
